Honored to speak at the Gallagher Dialogues at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas on our research on dignity and political leadership. @unlv We explored what our research is teaching us about how leaders can lower the temperature of our public discourse while still leading with conviction. One of the most encouraging findings is that Americans are far more capable of meaningful conversation than our politics often suggests. When we lead with dignity, we create space for trust, understanding, and real progress. by @tpyfer

Thinking of my dad today, and how much he would be enjoying this beautiful summer day today. Dad loved the outdoors and everything about them — hunting, fishing, hiking, camping, canoeing, summer family reunions in the mountains, scouting and more. As the grandkids grew older he loved taking day trips or short road trips to explore. Dad was famous for what he called his “shortcuts” — which meant a 6 hour vs. 2 hour drive, so he could help the kids discover some hidden gem of nature along the way. It was funny how much my dad did NOT believe in shortcuts of any kind. Instead, he raised us to plan, anticipate, and work hard; to be thorough, patient, consistent, and careful; and to practice gratitude daily. I’m forever grateful to be his daughter, and missing him today. ❤️ by @tpyfer
