Fall is closing in and I feel the shift. 🍁🍂
It gives me another focus, some how it gives a feeling of restart. And that opens up for reflections.

Here is a clip from the Clash CPH battle a couple of years ago.
In this battle I felt grounded and present in my body, in a way that I haven't been feeling in a while. Our bodies carry memories, so this memory I want to lift and remind myself of while entering the fall and continuous opportunities of research and growth🌱✨

First week of July I got the chance to dive into the theme "Dans för själen" /"Dance for the soul".

A residency initiated by Siri Strotz in collaboration with Dans I öst. Malin Skoglund and I, Theresa Gustavsson, got to spend the week with Siri in the beautiful nature of Ödeshög.

With lots of explorations of our individual practices, concepts, senses, community and conversations we dove into the theme with open minds and souls.

First up of the dancers bringing the funky groove and rhythm in locking to the dance floor is @tr3sa ‼️✨

Theresa “tr3sa” Gustavsson is a dancer, choreographer, and project manager with a community close to heart. Since 2005, she has been active both nationally and internationally in battles, stage performances, and teaching.

She has immersed herself into several dance styles, and with groove and rhythm at the core, a wide range of influences is seen in her free expression. Her foundation lies in street and club dance styles from the USA, and she primarily teaches and works artistically with these: Hip Hop, Locking, Popping, and House.

She is a co-founder of several notable dance groups, including the popping show group ATATA, the locking group What Came Out of the Mothership, and the all-style crew Swedish Family, which toured across Europe, battled, and made a strong impact between 2012 and 2016.

Since 2019, she has been based in Malmö. Locally, you can find Tr3sa teaching her own classes “Go Deep” on Mondays, as well as coordinating and hosting IVER Open Dance Practice on Thursdays. by @tr3sa

I want to give space for you who want to dance but maybe feel blocked, shy or hesitant in some way.

This will be a new class concept where I, with care, will guide you through movements, rhythms, concepts and explorations with the aim to "live true, dance free" (- Marjory Smarth RIP🕊️)

With 25 years of experience of dance, exploring body, movement and rhythm I take you on a journey to ease into dance. This with the guidance and inspiration of House music.

First date:
Sunday 12th of April 10.30-12.00

The days and times will vary see schedule on link. Tuesdays,Fridays and Sundays

Time to announce the continuation of Go Deep dance courses in the Street & Club dance styles Hiphop, House, Popping & Locking.

I'm super glad for the response and participation in Block 1&2. Now it's time to continue growing. 🌱✨

Recommended is to have some previous dance experience, be hungry and the willing to work. We go in. No age discrimination.

Danscentrum samarbetar med Språng och projektet VIDARE, som verkar för att öppna den professionella dansen för fler – oavsett funktionsuppsättning. Workshopen riktar sig till professionella dansare och dig med lång erfarenhet, med eller utan funktionsnedsättning.
Genom body mechanics, groove, cirkulära rörelser och sensoriskt arbete fördjupas kroppslig närvaro, lyhördhet och hållbarhet i dansen. Praktikerna möts i ett gemensamt konstnärligt utforskande där jämlikhet, respekt och ägandeskap av rörelsen står i fokus.
I Språng utgår vi från att olikhet är normen – och att våra olikheter driver scenkonsten framåt.
