[POSTPONED TO AUG DUE TO RAIN 🥲 NEW DATE TBA] Join KAT_URL x hotmothertruckers for a Rilakkuma picnic! Come hang out for an afternoon of plushies, trinkets, snacks, and good company ☁️ ʕ•ᴥ•ʔ

The picnic will feature a trinket trade, a bake sale, a lil Rilakkuma photo-op :- ) Whether you’ve never met the bear or you’ve been best buds for years, come for a cutie time!!  what to bring: ʕっ•ᴥ•ʔっ your Rilakkuma (or any!) plushy ʕっ•ᴥ•ʔっ a blanket or something to sit on ʕっ•ᴥ•ʔっ a snack to share (if you can!) ʕっ•ᴥ•ʔっ a little trinket to trade (if you’d like! you don’t have to bring a trinket to come to the picnic)  date: Sunday, July 26 time: 2-6pm location: Clark Park

We’ll have baked goods (including cookies!) for sale to support future hotmothertruckers events, plus free non-alcoholic beverages :- )

Recap from F2F [THE AFTERS] last week with @midnightprojectbc 💜😈

this truly was one of the craziest shows i’ve ever been apart of and my first time playing a F2F

we really shut the mf city down 🗣️🗣️🗣️

also seeing an all-local lineup become the second most popular event on RA in Vancouver this year is an absolute testament to how strong our scene is right now!!

HUGE thank you to @midnightprojectbc again for bringing their insane lighting rig

and thank you to everyone who came out and stayed late to hear @mykissera and me tear it up. the energy was truly unreal

Announcing our first vinyl workshop April 11th at BSide Radio!

Please note: this session is intended for intermediate DJs who already know how to mix digitally and are serious about learning vinyl.

Led by guest selector @awood55 , founder of @curve.yvr , this hands-on session covers the fundamentals of mixing on vinyl: turntable setup, beatmatching, cueing, and mixing techniques on professional equipment.

Behind AWood’s distinct energy is a deep love for electronic music. They have played at festivals such as Basscoast, Shambhala, and Re-Union, and have shared lineups with renowned techno artists at clubs and warehouses from Vancouver to Toronto. In between releases and gigs, AWood remains committed to paying it forward via volunteer teaching their @curve.yvr Learning Curve workshops. They are inspired by all the moments they have shared on the dance floor throughout their life.

Each session in the series features a different guest selector from our community. These workshops are kept intentionally small for a more immersive, hands-on experience and prioritize DJs from gender-marginalized communities and underrepresented backgrounds. Everyone is welcome to apply.

No prior vinyl experience needed, but applicants should already be comfortable mixing on digital decks (CDJs/controller).

Signups for the April 11th workshop are open until April 1st via the link in our bio.
