34살 때부터 지나간 추억이 많구나 🥹 Saturday was a wonderful birthday for me and I’m so grateful to everyone who showed up to celebrate me and my music debut at @dokkaebar 🫶🏼
•
I’ve been so focused recently on making this debut happen before my 35th birthday no matter what, that I lost track of how much I’d actually done throughout the year and really started to question my life choices and what I was even doing.
•
Debuting with “Closer” meant so much to me because it represents my invitation to you and myself to be present and vulnerable as we greet the future together as optimistically as we can, despite everything going on in the world right now.
•
A k-pop song with indie/rock elements representing my cultural identities, daring you to dance a bit and feel joy in the face of hate and maybe your own cynicism, flirtatious and a little unconventional in its composition, I think it was the best representation of who I am or at least who I have been until today.
•
I wonder, who will we become over the coming year? taken in Seoul, Korea by @tr_.stan

The stairway to heaven actually goes through all the levels of hell first…just FYI. 🥲 Would you climb it to the top? I’ve been in an R&B mood lately so today’s one-day jam was inspired by Steve Lacy, the Marias, and Ravyn Lenae, among others :) #singersongwriter #originalsong #songaday #stevelacy taken in Seoul, Korea by @tr_.stan

When he says you’re the one but only hits you up on Saturday night 🤔 I wrote this song on Saturday after listening obsessively to “Saturday Night” by @ravynlenae and being pulled back into the experience of situationships. I make music specifically to be able to share queer experiences like this. 🙂‍↕️ Is the video over edited? Yes 😂 but it was my first time experimenting with the edits app so…lmk if you want more where this came from!

Pride is exactly the sort of moment and energy ‘Closer’ was made for. It’s for us to all acknowledge that the camera is rolling and attention is on us right now, so we should all get a little closer and just soak in the excitement and energy of the moment and the show to come. That show could be a parade, but can also be our lives and moments we choose to spend together and share publicly, exactly because there’s no reason for us to need to hide 🙂‍↕️ the Seoul Queer parade was so fun and I hope we can all go together next year 🏳️‍🌈🫶🏼 taken in Seoul, Korea by @tr_.stan

January is already nearly over and we finally got the true first snow experience I’ve been missing. You can’t let a precious moment like this go by. 🥹 taken in Seoul, Korea by @tr_.stan
