Three countries, one ride.

Our @trace__cc friends have been out there for 10 days crossing Finland, Sweden, and Norway on their Simuns. A route of 1,600 km, 15,000m+ of elevation gain, and landscapes that will be difficult to forget.

Huge lakes, endless roads, and sky-touching trees were their best company for this amazing trip.

And finally, the last chapter of our Scandinavian adventure — Norway !!
The final stretch of our journey, with new roads, new landscapes and one last challenge before reaching the finish linešŸ˜‰

After crossing the border, we headed south towards Oslo. Not much forest separated us from the first urban areas, and for most of the way we were surrounded by vast cultivated fields.

Last days for our MMRs in this setup. As light as it was, we were definitely happy to take the bags off and switch to race mode — putting ourselves to the test after 10 days on the road.

We also found a few singletracks and tackled a couple of interesting HABs along the way.
This one in particular took us through a place that felt like an enchanted little valley, home to kind fairies and elves. šŸ§šā€ā™€ļøāœØ

By far the best shelter we found throughout the entire journey: HOTEL EXCELSIOR — as named on Komoot. And honestly, it fully deserves the title given to it by those who came before us.
Perched above the entire valley, with a fireplace worthy of a Michelin-starred kitchen.

The view at sunrise from Hotel Excelsior!!!
Worth a 20-minute hike pushing the bikes up a narrow trail, right? šŸ˜‰

On Saturday, we raced the Birken — an incredible course with zero metres of asphalt. šŸ”„
The route was already tough, but riding it in the rain the entire time made it even more intense.

Honourable mentions to the sheep we met along the way and the local support — simply incredible!

It was great to spend the final days with our friend @leeo.bianchi and wrap up our Scandinavian adventure with 1,600 km in our legs!

And here’s the continuation of our Scandinavian adventure — Sweden!
New roads, endless forests, a few moose still missing… and plenty of stories to tell:

It’s been a few intense days riding through Sweden’s endless forests, seeing very few people and even fewer cars…

Fun fact: on our third day, we met just one person šŸ˜‚

Our search for moose is slowly losing momentum, but we’re not giving up just yet…
There’s still plenty of wildlife around!
We’ve spotted loads of capercaillies and wild swans along the way.

Deep in the middle of our forest crossings, we often came across these tracked monsters — gigantic forestry harvesters clearing the way through the woods.

Just look at the sheer size of these machines!

This is what a section of forest looks like after the beast from the previous photo has passed through!

We’ve come to realize that Swedish forests are, in the end, giant wood factories!

The landscape changes dramatically once you leave the forests: vast wetlands open up, and every now and then, you can take it all in from the top of one of these little lookout towers by the roadside.

The forest floor is incredibly soft, covered in wild blueberry bushes — the perfect snack while riding — along with heather and lichens creating some seriously insane colors!!

The roads we’ve been riding are almost entirely compact gravel, although a little looser than in Finland. And there’s definitely more climbing too!

It’s been a tough few days, but luckily this bike has helped us keep pushing towards our final destination: Oslo!

@birken_no we’re coming for you!!

These countries are packed with covered shelters that make the perfect overnight stop.
They’re easy to find through a handy app, making it much easier to plan your day and know where you’ll spend the night.

We crossed Sweden during the very first days of bear hunting season.
We were told that the bear population is considered too high in some areas, so hunting is used to keep it under control — just in the area where we spent our second night, the quota was 79 bears! taken in Sweden by @trace__cc

The Finnish adventure continues…
More gravel, more lakes, more endless roads — and a few unexpected discoveries along the way.

We expected a more varied traditional cuisine, but mostly found potatoes, burgers, and plenty of döner kebabs.
Luckily, San Benedetto peach iced tea is always there ;)

On our fourth night, we slept in a magical spot — a little tricky to reach, but absolutely worth it for the stunning sunset, with the sun dipping into the lake at 10 PM.

Special mention to this amazing bike that’s taking us to some incredible places. Fast and comfortable at the same time.
An absolute must-have for this adventure!

Stay tuned to see what little gem will be racing around Oslo.l!

Among the endless forests we crossed, we came across old ones, new ones, and even some that are just about to be born.
Vast stretches of dark soil carefully prepared for the next generation of birch, spruce and pine trees. 🌱

Resupply stops are few and far between, so you have to plan them carefully if you don’t want to run out of energy. Luckily, water is never too hard to find — there are always farms along the way, where generous farmers are happy to help in exchange for a little chat. They don’t see tourists very often, so they make the most of the chance to socialize.

Here in Finland, there’s a strong culture of repairing and reusing. Combined with the high taxes on buying new cars, this has helped create a real passion for old American cars, which are imported and restored to an incredible standard.

Hey! Here we are — so far, so good.
We’ll catch up with you from Sweden, where we’re hoping to finally spot some moooooooose! taken in Finland by @trace__cc

Welcome to Finland!
First stop on our Scandinavian bikepacking adventure.
Here’s what we discovered along the way:

We discovered that Finland isn’t as flat as we thought… Just an endless series of ups and downs.

We ventured deep into Finland’s endless lake region, where everyone seems to have a boat, big or small.

Between the countless lakes, you’ll find vast open fields, scattered with barns and cows and horses grazing in the countryside.

We found a genuine sense of kindness and calm everywhere — a little shy at first, but surprisingly chatty once the ice is broken.

About 90% of the route was on well-maintained gravel roads, with a few more technical sections, but overall, incredibly rideablešŸš€

We absolutely loved the supermarkets (when you can actually find one 🤣) — they always have a sink at the entrance, perfect for brushing our teeth.

Our search for moose continues… šŸ«Ž
In the meantime, this is the only horned animal we’ve spotted 😫 taken in Finland by @trace__cc

The guys of @trace__cc explored the Caucasus through its contrasts, stunning landscapes and warm welcoming Āof the people they met along the trails.
What could be more adventurous than crossing a land, travelling beyond the beaten path and connecting with its true nature?
Rockit Plus was with them through every pedal stroke of the journey.

@jeroboam.gravel Bergamo wasn't the weekend we had originally planned, but it turned out to be exactly the one we needed.

@andy_bici is still recovering from injury, @gala.giannini had to trade the 600 km start line for a day at work, @fagian_yo had to drive from Bergamo to France to check a @dahu_trail climb right after the ride. Only @sparsgram smashed the 150km course in the heat, still arriving fresh like he only rode 15km.
All of that didn't stop us from making the most of the weekend: new gravel roads around Bergamo, fun time with @northwave_official friends, pizza together, post-ride massages, summer vibes. Maybe it wasn't the weekend we had planned. But it was definitely one we'll remember! 🩷

Thanks @jeroboam.gravel. See you soon! šŸ¤

Wondering where to find us this July?
No, not by the sea eating ice cream under a beach umbrella...
You’ll find us instead at Jeroboam Bergamo with @gala.giannini @sparsgram and @andy_bici, at the Randonnée du Mont Blanc with @airhilarious, and cheering on Stage 20 of the Tour de France.
We can’t wait to see you there! by @trace__cc

Ready? Let’s go through my @oakleymeta

GT3 Lavaredo gets off to a flying start, hitting the first 40 minutes at 4.7 W/kg, a perfect warm-up that I manage perfectly thanks to @maurten_official caffeine gel. The pace is high and fun, an exciting day completed thanks to my brave helpers Annachiara, Francesca, and Riccardo, who provided me with great support in the four feed zones along the course, ensuring I had the right carbohydrate intake throughout the long 5-hour race. Without them, it would have been more difficult to finish the race! Eating during this type of effort, always with the chain pulled tight on steep climbs and super focused on technical descents, is very difficult, and in fact, I wasn’t able to reach my CHO target from the third hour onward, which led to a poor performance on the last climb of the day. Special thanks to @giordanacycling bodysuit, simply perfect as well as incredibly stylish!
There are places that take your breath away with their beauty.
And races that take it out of you with fatigue. šŸ˜…

The GT3 Lavaredo is both. See you next year! šŸš€ taken in Tre Cime di Lavaredo by @trace__cc

HMR 2026 šŸ‡¬šŸ‡· 915 km - 28.000 m d+ 🄈

It’s never easy to put into words what unfolds during a race like this. Time stretches, somehow, making it feel like you’ve been away for weeks. If I close my eyes I can still picture the endless forests and the remote valleys of the Pintus Mountains, that run through Greece like a backbone.

As always, it turned out to be a wild ride. Spent a couple of nights under relentless rain and long hours beneath a very warm sun. Hiked my bike through rocky trails, snow, thorny bushes, very slippery stone bridges and cobblestone stairs. I saw thunderstorms with lightning striking very, very close. And of course I almost ran out of plugs after having too much fun on a few descents...

In the end, I'm happy with how far I managed to push, but more than anything I’m grateful for the people: old and new friends, all part of this magical bubble where life becomes beautifully simple.
And to the incredibly strong women I had the privilege to race alongside.

Ī•Ļ…Ļ‡Ī±ĻĪ¹ĻƒĻ„Ļ‰Ģ to everyone who believes in this.

Every start hits differently, you never really know what's waiting for you out there. But showing up alone for your very first ultra-distance adventure? That's a whole different feeling.
For Annachiara, @sevenserpents.cc Quick Bite was exactly that: her first ultra and her first solo bikepacking adventure. Despite all the fears, the biggest surprise was just how much fun she had along the way!
From Ljubljana to Trieste. 520 km of pure joy.

Chapeau @trabacchinannachiara!!
