SIX years of kensington 🥳💗

the sweetest, gentlest little spirit. she can be shy and timid, likes to take everything in before jumping in and sometimes needs a little extra reassurance before she’s ready. but once she decides she’s ready? WATCH OUT 🥹

this year especially - i’ve watched her confidence grow so much. she’s trying new things, finding what she’s good at, surprising herself and slowly realizing just how capable she really is. and watching that happen has been one of my favorite things.

she’s sweet, sensitive, silly, incredibly loving and quietly determined. she’s an amazing sister, loves her people with her whole heart, and has this natural athletic ability that continues to blow us away. she may not always be the loudest one in the room, but there is something so special about her quiet confidence 💗

kensie girl - i hope you always know that you never have to be the loudest to be strong. you never have to be fearless to be brave. and you never have to be anyone other than exactly who you are.

i wish i could freeze you right here. the missing teeth, the shy little smile, the giggles, the snuggles and that sweet little face that somehow looks more grown up every single day 🥺

happy 6th birthday to our sweet kensie girl 🥳🎂💗

we love you more than you’ll ever know and i am so unbelievably proud of the little girl you’re becoming.

Of posting my shitty bench - I bought off Amazon in 2020 until a company sponsors me with a new one.

As you can see here - the pad gap is 3 inches wide and the hinge digs into you back!!

I just want to finish a set and hear somebody say:

“HELL YEAH, BIG DAWG.”

But when you work out alone day after day, there’s nobody there to hype you up.

No spotter.
No gym bro.
No unsolicited “BIG DAWG.”

It gets lonely in here. 😂

HAPPY 9th BIRTHDAY to my little dancing queen! 🩷

she has been counting down for weeks and at 6am this morning, the whole family barged in her room and woke her up by singing happy birthday 🥳

i’m so impressed and in awe of you with everything you do savannah. you are smart, and kind and naturally good at EVERYTHING 🤣 but i do need you to stop growing so fast please!

second game of the season and kensie showed UP 🥎

5 years old, playing up with girls as old as 8. and when she walks onto that field, it’s like she belongs there. the natural ability is absolutely there. and watching her get more confident with every practice and every game has been so beautiful 🥹

last night she had an absolute MONSTER hit, followed it up with another hit, listened to every word her coaches told her, kept the best attitude and when she was out in right field, she was exactly where she needed to be backing up first.

after every win, we give a game ball to a player or two who really showed up and played their best.

last night, that ball belonged to kensie 👏🏼

and when her name was called - the excitement. the pride. THAT SMILE.

judging by that smile, pretty sure that yellow ball is now one of her most prized possessions 😂

and just like that - we have a FIRST GRADER 🥹✏️

she walked into school this morning like she owned the place. confident, excited and completely ready for her next big adventure.

meanwhile, her mother drove away having an emotional breakdown in the parking lot 😭

kensie girl, watching you grow into this brave, confident little human is the greatest privilege of my life.

fourth grade looks pretty cute on her 😍

i swear every year i take these pictures and think, “okay, THIS is when she officially looks like a big kid.”

and then somehow she gets even more grown overnight.

savannah - i hope this year is full of belly laughs, friendships that make school even better, teachers who see how special you are and so many moments that make you proud of yourself.

stay curious. stay kind. stay confident. and never lose that little bit of sass that keeps us all on our toes.

i’m not even sure i can put into words how much fun last week at the beach was.

it’s actually insane how much more you enjoy your kids when you take away the daily hustle, the stress from work and all the other responsibilities we carry as adults. we were able to be YES PARENTS to everything they wanted. the joy on their faces every single day to just play with us and not be told “hold on, let me finish working quick.” it’s actually really sad to think about it like that isn’t it?

i’m so grateful for this vacation and am vowing to be better at being present with my kids because TIME FLIES, and they’re only little once 🩷
