Our final group dinner of the tour at Mawlana in Cairo — such a fun way to end our time together. Great Egyptian food, live musicians and drummers, and several incredible Tanoura dancers spinning and swirling through the room. Lots of laughs, great conversation and a lovely way to wrap up an unforgettable journey through Egypt. ❤️🇪🇬

Our final night of our Esoteric Tour — and what a way to end it.

We were incredibly fortunate to have private access to the Great Pyramid, including the chance to enter both the King’s and Queen’s Chambers.

It was hot, intense and a little surreal… and we emerged very sweaty, very grateful, and very happy to be greeted by the setting sun over the Great Pyramid. ❤️

Walking through the old museum and seeing these ancient treasures up close — the statues, jewellery, mummies and everyday objects — made the history feel so much more real.

There was something pretty special about being here at Kom Ombo on the Autumn Equinox — a day that carries meaning around balance, transition and the turning of the seasons.

Standing in this ancient temple, with the Nile flowing beside us, it felt like one of those moments where the timing just seemed right.

Kom Ombo is unique in that it was dedicated to two gods — Sobek, the crocodile god, and Horus, the falcon-headed god. 🐊🦅 Two very different energies sharing the same sacred space.

Thousands of years ago, people stood here looking to the gods and the cycles of the sun, moon and seasons. And here we were, doing much the same thing on the equinox.

A pretty magical place to pause, reflect and appreciate where we are — and where we’re going. ✨

Reaching Philae by boat makes the journey feel almost as magical as the temple itself — rising from the waters of the Nile on the beautiful island of Agilkia. 🛶✨

Dedicated primarily to Isis, goddess of motherhood, magic and healing, Philae was a sacred place for centuries. Its magnificent columns, reliefs and hieroglyphs still tell stories of gods, kings and ancient rituals.

Carved directly into the granite bedrock, this massive obelisk was abandoned when a crack appeared in the stone. If it had been completed, it would have been the largest obelisk ever made — around 42 metres long and weighing close to 1,200 tonnes.

What I found so fascinating was being able to see the actual process of how they were carving and shaping the stone. You can still see the marks from thousands of years ago.

Standing there and looking at the sheer size of it, it’s pretty hard to imagine how they were able to do this with the tools they had.

There’s something truly magical about Dendera. Built largely during the Ptolemaic and Roman periods, this magnificent temple was dedicated to Hathor — goddess of love, motherhood, music and joy. 🌙✨

The incredible carvings, towering columns and beautifully preserved details make Dendera feel remarkably alive. And looking up at the famous Dendera Zodiac, you can’t help but marvel at the ancient Egyptians’ fascination with the heavens.

A place where mythology, art, astronomy and spirituality come together — and where the past feels surprisingly close.
