Immensely proud of Noah’s achievements in hockey this year, further boosted by collecting two incredible awards at last night’s Duchy Hockey Club end of season presentation evening.He won the Mens 2s Players’ Player of the Season, followed by the overall Players’ Player of the Season award - a high accolade across all the teams in the club. We’re so pleased that his dedication and enthusiasm are recognised and valued by his clubmates and mentors, whom he admires and respects so much. Most people already know how much he loves hockey - he’s fully committed to training, turning up in all weathers; attends all matches - sometimes playing back to back games to help out other teams. He listens well to feedback then goes away to practise. Slightly drove me mad when having to keep moving a ball with his hockey stick whilst reciting quotes from Shakespeare for his GCSE revision. And even takes his stick when we go to the beach, to practise skills!!So yes, well deserved recognition and applause, Noah!Thank you to all at @duchyhockeyclub for supporting and coaching him - we’re looking forward to this next season with the Men’s 1s!@_noahs_hockey_ #duchyhockeyclub #dragonsponsoredplayer #cornwallhockey #playersplayerawards by @traceywalk3r

On an absolute scorcher of a Sports Day on Tuesday, Phoebe battled through a painful muscle strain in her back to achieve first place in the egg and spoon, and second place in the bean bag race. *FUNDRAISER for Noah and his Cornwall hockey team to attend the Boys' U17s Hockey Championships in Nottingham in July.*After winning the West Boys’ County League with his Cornwall team in March, Noah and the squad are now taking on the County Hockey Championships in Nottingham in July 2026, competing against 39 other counties.It costs £3000 just to enter the squad into the competition so we’re hoping to raise some funds to cover Noah’s £250 share of that.He’s currently working hard on his GCSE exams but once they’re finished, he is available for any odd jobs (car washing; child-entertaining - he’s great with kids!; dog walking; ‘teen boy level’ cleaning services…), in exchange for a donation.His photographer Dad, Nick Walker is also offering a special fundraiser rate for a Professional Photoshoot (Family/Couple/Maternity/Pets) to help raise further pennies: 30 minute photoshoots, taking place on your choice of Godrevy, Gwithian, Carbis Bay, St Ives or Mounts Bay beaches, for only £50. You will receive 50-100 fully edited digital photos via a password protected gallery. The photoshoot is valid for a whole year, so no pressure to take it asap. Email nick@nickwphotography.com for further info or to book.The squad are also looking at fundraising/sponsorship for: travel options between Cornwall and Nottingham (any minibuses available?); personalised Championship hockey kits £550+ for the whole squad; and other general expenses for the three day tournament and travelling days to and from.It's a long way for these Cornish boys to travel so any help at all is most appreciated. So incredibly proud of Phoebe today, taking part in her first ever surf life saving competition: The Cornish Nipper Championships.🥇 She WON her 25m age 9 individual Flipper race, achieving 7th place overall (out of 51!), gaining vital points for @si_slsc too 🙌🏼🥈 She then went on to take 2nd place in a super close finish in the individual manikin race, smashing just under 10 seconds off her entry time, and achieving 12th place overall.🥉 Phoebe topped off her hat-trick of events, coming third in the board race, and yet again, improving her time 🙌🏼Well done, my little legend 🧜🏻‍♀️💪🏼#stivessurflifesavingclub #cornishnipperchampionships #firstcompetition by @traceywalk3r

A wonderfully relaxing Mothers Day with my faves 🥰It began with goooood coffee and pancakes, then a refreshing walk across the dunes in the sunshine followed by a van picnic whilst sea-gazing, and topped off with a visit to my Mumma then movie night with my gorgeous gang (plus a bit of chocolate and red wine for good measure!).Perfect 😘 by @traceywalk3r
