Day 6 Post-Op Knee Replacement:
I had my first rehab appointment yesterday. It was nowhere near the torture session I was prepared for.🤣 My extension even managed to improve from my first pre-op appointment to my first post-op appointment.🎉🤣 Got my criteria to graduate off the walker. Definitely a goal to work toward as fast as possible!! A walker is better than crutches, though!
First post-op hair wash day was successful! I was tempted to call Ella Morgan to see if she could wash and style my hair, but I wanted to see if I could do it myself.☺️ Definitely felt accomplished after being able to wash it and style it independently.
Pain has been well-managed with only Tylenol and Rx NSAID since Saturday morning. Thankfully.🙏🏼
I’m ready to be able to have an easily moveable knee, but I’m improving every day.🙌🏼🫶🏼

Day 1 post-op total knee replacement.
It hurts, the nerve blocks are definitely wearing off, but I’ve had the best cuddle buddies to help me feel better.❤️ Thank goodness for Grant, my Momma, and Parker. This truly would be impossible without them.❤️❤️

It’s hard to put into words how I felt hearing my sweet Sara quote a few lines from my own valedictory, from 27 years ago. I’m still getting tears thinking about it and hearing those words as I made this video; still just overcome with all the emotions. Proud is an incredible understatement.

Sara,I have loved you since you came into this world, and I will always be here for you. Go do big things and tell all about your adventures at Troy!

Some people chase sunrises, but I’ll forever be a sunset girl.🌅❤️
I may be biased, but the ones seen from my own front yard are some of the most beautiful.❤️❤️

So it’s National Dog Day, apparently. Say hello to our sweet Radar and the demon dog she birthed, The Spot (he really is so much more than a villain of the week).

The most special thing at staying one place for 20+ years is getting to teach two generations of the best young women.🩷🩷 by @tracilatc2003

As part of our system-wide convocation, we do a pep rally and spirit stick battle. 🎉💙🐾
The HS gave us cowbells to use, but I had a better one, one that definitely meant more. Jayden Johnson and Angelica Mumford, I thought of y’all every time I rang this thing!💙💙 by @tracilatc2003
