Everyone should aspire to be a friend like @thedietcokecowboy. This man has been there for every phase of life- has taught me how to be a better human, allows my stubbornness to shine, and was one of the first (who continues) to encourage to chase “Docta” Lively. Today he told me a shined bright than Broadway (as if!) 90 more days till our Next adventure- Christmas in NYC!! by @tracilively

I can handle any holiday-Christmas, shocked/jealous, but at peace, anniversary- glad they are together for the first time, Fourth of July- no biggie, Labor Day, cooked as normal. But this week is the worst, this week I’ll celebrate my first birthday without my mom and dad. For most people, it’s just a day to turn a year older- but the tiny one made it special- it was a day to be excited for, a day with the same enthusiasm as Christmas, because it was the day of your (my) birth. Crying a lot this week- please ignore all the tears and snot by @tracilively

One of my most favorite things about living on the North Side is watching the geese outside my window while I’m washing dishes. So imagine how stoked I was when I got home and the entire flock was in my driveway and the front yard?!?! PSA- no geese were harmed whilst parking my car or taking pictures #itsthelittlethings by @tracilively

Life Update: The world works in mysterious ways…. I’m headed back to the Valley, but from here until further notice, I’ll be causing my usual Chaos at Pellissippi! Have we been balling with no AC since April? YES. Has it been manageable? Until this week, YES. Have I considered starting a Go Fund Me Page so this adore dog can spend her days in 69 degree air? YES. Will I go through with it? NO. Does that make Fred sad? NO- because she knows whenever she gets too hot, I’ll load her up in the car and drive until she’s curled up asleep. Did I do this for 2 hours this evening? YES. Is she worth 1000 YES. #winnifredmarch by @tracilively

This is where my heart has been since 12/20/25. It has been an incredibly difficult five months, even though I feel like life keeps kicking in the butt and everything I worked for years and year to be proud of keep slipping through my fingers, I was reminded today that all of it has meaning- I just can’t see it yet. After all is said and done, finished my last semester of academic classes (with 4.0 😎) for my PhD and while most push through for comps (I admire each and everyone of you), I am taking a moment to finally grieve, process, and prepare. Whatever has been taken from me, is out of my control and I am, for the first time, in the longest time, am going to take this time to focus on myself and create the life I’ve wanted. Struggle or not, it will be the life I e created. by @tracilively
