We spent 24 hours in Bruges, staying at the charming B&B @quay17_brugge, tucked away in a quiet corner of the historic city centre. The perfect base for exploring Bruges on foot.

Our cultural highlights? @bruskbrugge, Bruges’ new contemporary art hub, the Groeningemuseum, and the atmospheric Sint-Janshospitaal, one of the oldest surviving hospital buildings in Europe, with an impressive collection of art.

And then there’s the food scene. From beautiful coffee spots and cosy cafés to excellent restaurants and wine bars, Bruges has plenty to keep food lovers very happy.

Last night, we discovered a different side of Ibiza at Nela Amsterdam, where the island’s rich culinary heritage took centre stage.

Nela chefs @hari_shetty15 and Ori Geller joined forces with @osruano, Executive Chef of 7Pines Resort Ibiza, for a special gastronomic dinner celebrating the authentic flavours of the island.

The chefs already share a culinary connection through Nela’s summer residency at 7Pines Resort Ibiza, making this collaboration a natural reunion.

From locally caught seafood and traditional Ibizan ingredients to slow-cooked Porc Negre pork belly, every dish told a story of the island’s land, sea and culinary traditions.

A beautiful reminder that Ibiza has so much more to offer than stunning beaches and vibrant nightlife. Its food scene deserves just as much attention.

A hidden world of art and nature in the heart of Amsterdam. Housed in a beautiful 17th-century canal house, @artzoomuseum is an artistic ode to the animal kingdom and the natural world. Its historic rooms are filled with the breathtaking taxidermy art of Darwin, Sinke &Van Tongeren a.k.a. @finetaxidermy - from birds in al colours to impressive crocodiles and even a T-Rex. Everything feels so lifelike, as if it could start moving at any moment. And don’t miss the tulips preserved in glass — another little work of art.

After exploring the museum, we headed to Bar Vasari. The richly decorated garden rooms, with their ornate ceilings, are artworks in themselves (and hence part of the audio tour), but on this sunny day we chose the peaceful courtyard garden for a glass of wine and a delicious toastie.
➡️ Definitely one to add to your Amsterdam list.

I celebrated my birthday at our favourite restaurant in Zeeland: @katseveer, beautifully located on the shores of the Oosterschelde in a former ferry house.

The delicious dishes truly reflect Zeeland’s terroir, while the warm and welcoming service is one of the reasons we keep coming back.

Katseveer is run by maître-sommelier @paullabruijere and chef @leonvermaire. A place where you can truly taste Zeeland. 💙

For my pre-birthday celebration, we took a seat at @rizoomgent ‘s chef’s table, where chef @yveskerckhoffs and his team create pure, seemingly simple dishes in which intense sauces and jus take centre stage.

Expect European dry-aged fish, poultry and meat alongside seasonal shellfish, crustaceans and vegetables - all prepared with Japanese techniques and a beautiful sense of simplicity.

@yayoi._.kusama has arrived in Amsterdam - and not only inside the @stedelijkmuseum. 🍽️

From 11 September, the Stedelijk presents a major retrospective of Kusama’s work, spanning more than seven decades of her extraordinary career.

And at @caferestaurantsandberg, the museum’s restaurant, chef @schilovancoevorden pays tribute to the artist with a five-course dinner inspired by her universe.

From Infinity Nets and Pumpkin to Dots Obsession and Narcissus Garden, each course explores the ideas behind Kusama’s work - repetition, colour, texture, form and infinity. 🔴🟡🟢

Rather than recreating her iconic dots, pumpkins and nets on the plate, Schilo translates the ideas behind her art into his own language: food.

Soms ontdek je als Zeeuw plekken waarvan je denkt: hoe heb ik dit nog nooit gezien?
@kerkhotelbiervliet is zo’n plek. Een verborgen parel in Zeeuws-Vlaanderen, midden in het kleine, pittoreske Biervliet.

Wat ooit een kerk was, is nu een bijzonder hotel waar historie en hedendaags comfort prachtig samenkomen. Slapen in een kerk, wakker worden in alle rust en ondertussen ontdekken wat Zeeuws-Vlaanderen allemaal te bieden heeft.

Sommige restaurants zijn meer dan een restaurant.

@krommewatergang is zo’n plek. Midden in het verstilde Zeeuws-Vlaanderen, in het kleine buurtschap Slijkplaat, ligt dit bijzondere restaurant van de familie Vinke. Al sinds 1993 een begrip in Zeeland én ver daarbuiten.

Hier draait alles om Zeeland: de zee, het land, lokale producten en de seizoenen. In de keuken worden die ingrediënten verfijnd en verrassend op het bord gebracht, met een sterke eigen signatuur van @tomvinke

En misschien is juist die combinatie zo bijzonder: de reis ernaartoe, de rust van het landschap en vervolgens een gastronomische ervaring van hoog niveau.

Een plek waarvoor je graag een stukje omrijdt.

We ❤️ Middelburg! Dus het werd weer hoog tijd voor een bezoek aan de Zeeuwse hoofdstad.

💤 We sliepen bij het fijne @cityhotelwood, een perfecte uitvalsbasis om Middelburg te ontdekken. Het ligt rustig in het centrum, waardoor je zo tussen de historische straatjes staat én heerlijk rustig slaapt.

🍽️ Ook het hotelrestaurant @thegreenroom_middelburg in is een aanrader. Hier staan groenten centraal en wij genoten van een driegangenmenu dat we à la carte samenstelden. Bestel vooral de ‘steak tartaar’ van wortel en de maïssoep!

Verder barst Middelburg van de leuke koffiezaken, lunchrooms en cafés. En voor cultuur? Het @zeeuws_museum en @vleeshal zijn zeker een bezoek waard.

Kortom: Middelburg blijft een favoriet voor een cultureel én culinair weekendje Zeeland.
