Another trophy for Man City at Wembley today after they beat Chelsea 0-1 in the Emirates FA Cup final. Antoine Semenyo scored in the 72nd minute to break the boredom of an otherwise dreary fixture. Not exactly a game that'll go down as a classic that's for certain!

Freakish weather conditions at Brentford yesterday saw Everton draw level during added time, the game finishing 2-2. Igor Thiago opened up the scoring from the penalty spot in the 3rd minute, with Beto pulling things level up the other end (26'). Thiago scored a second and it looked like the game had been put to bed. Alas, the heavens opened amidst blazing sunshine and Dewsbury-Hall stepped up in the 91st minute to draw the game level.

Never has a Man City win brought me so much pleasure! Arsenal lost their bite at the quadruple cherry after losing 0-2 in the Carabao Cup final at Wembley last Sunday. Two goals from Nico O'Reilly made it look all but a formality for Pep Guardiola, who himself still actually has a chance of winning a treble (of sorts).

Noah Sadiki of Sunderland recreates an old Crazy Legs move during the game against Chelsea. The Black Cats came from behind to win 1-2 at Stamford Bridge thanks to goals from Wilson Isidor and Chemsdine Talbi.

The Good: João Palhinha of Tottenham celebrates putting Spurs level in their game against Wolves

The Bad: Mohammed Kudus chips Wolves' keeper Sam Johnstone in the first half, only to be disallowed for off-side

The Ugly: Ruben Amorim crumbles yet again in my earlier fixture at Brentford where Manchester United lost 3-1.

Two pretty dreadful games of football, almost as bad as the result from Selhurst Park 🤦🏼‍♂️

Just over a year ago, Jazmin Sawyers was recovering from surgery on a ruptured Achilles, questioning if she'd ever return to world-class level jumping. Fast forward to 2025 and Jaz takes gold at the 2025 Novuna UK Athletics Championships in Birmingham with a jump of 6.82, super progression from her jump two weeks ago at the London Diamond League meeting. Lucy Hadaway took the silver medal and Alice Hopkins bronze.

With everybody recovering in hospital now 🙏 it feels appropriate to post. There have not been many days in my life quite as overwhelming, if any. Witnessing and experiencing such swings in emotions, energy, joy and sadness. A day in which I experienced kindness beyond words. Incomparable noise and happiness, and a volume of people I doubt I'll ever see again. A fitting tribute to the culmination of years of hard work from a group of players, coaches and backroom staff to which I'm sure every Liverpool fan is incredibly grateful. All of which paled into significance when the realisation dawned about the gravity of the events that transpired after the parade. Words cannot explain the pain and grief resulting from the horror of that day... You'll never walk alone x taken in Liverpool, United Kingdom by @trackfieldwild

My last Premier League game of the season at Fulham saw Manchester City's Erling Haaland score a penalty again, Kevin de Bruyne bow out from City after 10 years, and Pep Guardiola losing it with a reporter when questioned about Jack Grealish ("WHO said I have a problem with Jack?!"). The game finished 0-2 to City, the other goal coming from a spectacular finish from İlkay Gündoğan in the first half.

Football (fans) done differently...

PSG hosted Arsenal in the second leg of their @championsleague semi-final at the Parc des Princes. It was fireworks, smoke and pyrotechnics galore all night providing a fitting backdrop to Paris' 3-1 aggregate victory and passage into their second final in the competition.

Tottenham Hotspur 3-1 Bodø/Glimt

The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium hosted a fabulous Europa League atmosphere last night as Spurs took on the only football club in the world to have a slash in their name. The Norwegian side come from a town with only a 42,000 population and it felt like most of them were in the stadium last night at times. Goals from Brennan Johnson, James Maddison and Dominic Solanke looked enough to put the game to bed for the home side, however a late Bodø goal from Ulrik Saltnes completely changed the outlook of the second leg in the Arctic circle. That said, does a tantalising Manchester United v Spurs Europa League final in Bilbao await?
