Sadly not the World Champs I was dreaming of but so happy to be able to finish, as after a big mechanical - (stick ripped my mech off ) on stage 2 I thought the day was over - and I was gutted as I have never not finished an enduro race in my whole career
But thankfully the “spirit of enduro” came back around to help me after many years of being the one carrying the spares for others ! This time @texi5 came to my rescue with a new cage for my derralieur and got me back up and running and I made it just in time for stage 3 but had lost more than 2min30sec. Another problem in stage 3 left me with a huge time deficit but I was happy to rid some of my frustration with a win on the final stage of the day !

Happy to leave the race knowing I was still in the mix for a podium ride with my pace on the stages I had no issues with - 2nd, 3rd, 3rd and 1st…. Still happy to be able to find so much fun in racing at this level at 47yrs old !! 😊👊

Super happy for @helene_rasanti to take the win, thoroughly deserved after smashing all the races this year in Europe 👌

The highlight of an early finish was a spontaneous last shuttle of the day and my first family shuttle to NATO base and riding trails in Finale as a family - so special riding trails I have raced over 10yrs ago now with my 8yr old leading the way and loving it as much as me and finishing in the dark - day well spent on bikes !! ❤️🙏🇮🇹🚲

Life is one amazing journey and the choices we make don’t seem to get easier …. As I embarked on a 18hr solo drive on my own on Saturday night, leaving a crying 8yr old who didn’t want mummy to leave, a loving husband and nearly a stow away cat 🐈‍⬛ in the campervan …… I did ask myself what am I doing….
I’m 47yrs old, I have achieved in sport so much more than I ever thought I would and here I am driving to another bike race - a world champs of all things I really don’t have to be at !!!

But after 12hrs and an overnight stop in a place that has become so special to me it all makes sense now….

I’m heading to Finale Enduro World Championships because I love mountain bikes, I love the discipline of enduro and all that it has given me in my life ❤️🗻🚲

20yrs ago I went to Verbier for the first time with my now husband James, we met Phil and Lucy @bikeverbier and my love for the mountains and riding bikes in them changed for ever

Over the years James and I have made so many amazing friends and memories in this part of the alps it feel so good to just spend 12hrs passing through on this trip
Sorry I couldn’t get to see all of those lovely people but one special person no longer with us @lorrainetruong was with me on a very impromptu hike mid drive, that was more than I had planned but I knew Lorraine would have said “go to the top , you might as well you are so close !! “
Miss you Lorraine and I know you will be watching us all this weekend as we race bikes in @finaleoutdoorregion ❤️

I’m going to Finale this weekend because I want to support a sport and community that has brought so much to my life and to be part of that history and to be an inspiration to my son to continue to enjoy life and seize the opportunities that come your way xxxx

Now to get back down this mountain and hopefully have some legs left to ride a bike later this week !!

Good luck to everyone racing this wknd and even at a time when enduro is starting a new chapter and will take time to build back up, I know the sport + community it creates will continue to have a lasting legacy on anyone who embraces it.

What a week in Lake Placid, 🇺🇸

A very special week to spend with my family enjoying amazing hospitality and meeting so many new and old friends

I still feel just like a kid from a farm in Malvern who was good on a bike and still loves bikes and the life it has given me…. I really did feel out of place stood on a stage giving a speech to a room full of incredible people from the world of bikes…. But the reception I got and all the incredible messages I have had from people have been so special . I was really touched and it took me a while to catch my breath before I could talk… a very special moment.

It’s amazing to think I am now part of the history of the sport and will forever be remembered for the part I have played in shaping mountain biking. It was such an incredible honour to be inducted alongside @gregminnaar , @maxcommencal and Stan Day 🙏☺️

My thanks are to all those people who have helped on this incredible journey over the last 30yrs
From my brother who got me into riding, my family who supported me so much and to all the sponsors, teams, mechanics and staff who have helped me during my racing days and to all the amazing athletes who made me raise my game. And now my husband and son Toby who continue to support and encourage me to live out my crazy dreams that keep evolving year on year !!

It was also an amazing week to meet and spend such great time with the early pioneers of our sport @repackrider @wendecragg12 , @otisguy_mbhof and @jacquiephelan . So cool to see them all still loving bikes and enjoying being at the races….these guys have seen some evolution of the MTB and the sport over the last 50yrs !!

And a final huge thanks to @uci_mtbworldseries for hosting us, @otisguy_mbhof for all his help organising and @ignatiouscreilly for his amazing hospitality and enabling us to have such an amazing week… we even had a go at luge @usa_luge headquarters 😊❤️🙏

Here’s to more amazing memories and adventures with bikes for the next 30yrs 🤞

@tracy_moseley's MTB Hall of Fame induction is a no-brainer. Where do we even start?

Her combined four DH and enduro world championships? Her mentorship of some of the greatest women mountain bikers alive? Her incredible influence on Trek product development? How about blazing a trail for *all* women mountain bikers, especially in gravity disciplines?

Any one of those reasons could have put her in the Hall. Put them together, and you have one undeniable legend who's *still* not done winning championships and inspiring people to get on bikes.

Looking back at some highlights from the 2001 and 2003 Downhill World Cup races up at Grouse Mountain — the last time BC hosted these events.

Some of these riders are now managing teams, some are still racing all kinds of bikes, and most are still riding.

Tracy Moseley has been announced as one of The Marin Museum of Bicycling & Mountain Bike 2026 Hall of Fame inductees, one of the four mountain bike legends whose contributions to the sport have helped shaped it into what it is today.

Marin Museum of Bicycling said: “A legendary multi-discipline athlete who has set the standard for female competition in mountain biking. With a storied career spanning Downhill and Enduro, she has made an impact beyond her numerous victories, serving as a trailblazer and inspiration for generations of women in the sport.”

Huge congratulations to our incredible ambassador on this well-deserved award and amazing achievement.

It’s a privilege to have you as part of the Altura team.

It’s so easy as a parent to sit and watch your kids doing sport and I have even found myself doing exactly that on the taxi service to various activities each week but this last 2 weeks I have been inspired by Toby but also by the ladies I met at @hope_wmn enduro to get stuck in …

A number of the ladies I met at the Forest of Dean told me that they were fed up sitting in the cafe or car park whilst the kids and dad rode bikes, that they decided to find out what they were doing and have a go themselves and are now hooked !!
Such a similar story for so many mums…

So at the weekend when Toby said “mum will you come and play with me “ I said yes and got my bike out to play on his little jumps …. And guess what it was fun !!
Also much needed to make sure I don’t get left behind yet …. 😳

I just need to now get brave enough to join him at the skatepark and not be scared and embarrassed to give it a go…

Hope this may be encourage a few more adults to be kids again and play…. As that’s how I learnt to ride a bike…. just playing ….

Possibly the best Hope Women enduro yet 🚲❤️

This really has become a must do annual event for me over the years as I just love seeing over 200 women racing bikes 😊😊

I think this years format of coaching on Saturday and racing on Sunday created such a good vibe and such a smooth race day on Sunday

Kev @pmba_enduro , Claire and all the team at @hope_wmn and @fodcyclerangers nailed it 👏

Option to race 3 or 5 stages meant that it really did cater for a wide range of abilities

My highlight (apart from the annual battle with @katycurd to see who can go fastest !! ) Was seeing one of my school mums return after 1yr of bike riding, with so much skill and confidence I was so proud and so happy to see the joy that bikes has brought to her life and her health and happiness 😊🙏

I also convinced a complete newbie 13yr old to come and have a go with her dad, what an awesome dad and daughter experience and thankfully she loved it….

This event and women’s only stuff if so valuable for getting people started out, gaining confidence and meeting new people

Thanks to everyone who made it such a special day…. The vibes and feel good factor were definitely on a big high 🙏❤️

And thanks for @hatt1e_harnden for coming to award the prizes and chase me down a few stages to help find an extra few seconds to take the fastest time of the day ☺️
It gets harder every year to go fast but I do love bike racing 😉😊😊😊👌🚲🚲🚲🚲

Can’t remember the last time I went dirt jumping ….let alone in a girl train 🚊 🚲

Such cool vibes with @katycurd @emiily.moseley and @hatt1e_harnden today 🤩

After sitting watching the dirt jumps at @flyupmtb last weekend I made a plan with Hattie to get our jump bikes out
We were too scared to join in at Fly Up but so glad we were brave today and ace to catch up and ride with Katy and Emily

It’s hard to do things that scare you especially when’s it’s been over 10yrs since you last did it !!

Just wanted everyone to know…. Even ex world champs and World Cup winners get scared and embarrassed to try stuff in front of people, we have to be brave too….. it’s normal and all part of doing a fun sport and challenging ourselves

What an amazing day @flyupmtb celebrating 10yrs of the bike park
It’s fair to say that they have not had an easy time with the business over those 10yrs with the road development next to the site, but I’m so glad the park was saved as what a fun spot to ride bikes 🚲

Amazing day with World Cup winner @hatt1e_harnden and all the people we met today ❤️🙏🚲

My son Toby had an amazing time and said “ it’s so cool because you can ride trails, play on a pumptrack and do dirt jumps all in one place “

One happy and tired boy 🚲😊

I’m looking forward to pulling on a GB 🇬🇧 jersey again at this years Enduro World Championships in Finale October 17-18th 2026

I always love the opportunity to represent GB and although feel I won’t be as competitive this year as not raced at all internationally, I feel it’s really important to support the World Champs and enduro at this time.

And no better place to be hosting world champs than where it all started for me back in 2013 becoming the first ever Enduro World Series Champion in @finaleoutdoorregion Italy 🇮🇹 😊

I’d love to see a big British team…… so if you have raced any world enduros, national series or national champs this season - make sure you apply to be considered for a space before this Sunday. Sept 6th applications will close

There are lots of places so even if you don’t automatically qualify but you would like to go, do fill in the form and get in touch with British Cycling

There were some super fast junior boys and girls at the national champs earlier this summer ….would be ace if we had a few going to represent us

I appreciate it’s not funded and not an easy thing to take time off from work, college but if you have been thinking and can make it happen… do it as I can assure you it will be an amazing experience
