63rd OVERALL out of 107 men and women, all ages. 27th female out of 48. Solo Women @weareflatout 🏁🔥

And honestly? I nearly didn’t turn up.

After a very long, difficult rollercoaster, with things going on behind the scenes that I’ve kept private, I seriously considered not doing this race.

But I booked it months ago… and today, it turned out to be exactly what I needed. The best medicine. 💊❤️

Sometimes you have to stop waiting for life to get easier before you start living again.

This wasn’t just about a finish time. It was about getting out there, pushing myself, feeling strong and remembering the woman I am.

At 55, I’m realising that finding time for ME isn’t selfish. It’s essential.

I want to train for more solo events, challenge myself, build my strength and do more of the things that make ME feel alive.

I’ve been on a hard ride for a very long time. Now it’s time to get off the rollercoaster. 🎢

Thank you so much to those who were kind enough to nominate me for the British Fitness awards in the mental health advocate category. I was very fortunate to have come 🥉 3RD The amazing support shown to me this year has been incredible , and I am more than greatful . You never know the suffering that goes on behind closed doors , or the struggle that’s hidden from many ❤️ life is hard - some people get less than they deserve , and some get more than they deserve and that’s how life goes . Be kind always because you never know how much someone is copying with and your actions towards them may cause that last strong 💪 rubber band to break xx 😘 Pilates 🧘‍♀️ fitness classes friendships- they all hold the supportive package 📦 people often need to get through the battles of life ❤️❤️ thank you so much to everyone whose supported me this year 2026 has been a tough one - but thanks to my support from you all this is my 3rd award this year - and honestly I am eternally grateful to you x thank you so much to my two dear wonderful friends @seftontracy @j.wals73 for taking the time out their busy lifes to come to this event and support me ❤️❤️ much love to you both , you are incredible and a great inspiration xx 😘 taken in Crown Plaza Hotel Liverpool by @tracylord2004

HAPPY 55th birthday to me .. I just received this from last weeks races . Life has made me work lots but not given me the actual time to do what I love for my self and that’s to train for sports 🏉 so this picture is a reminder to myself to give myself and hour a day where possible - so the next race I do !! It will be with a little prep time instead of going in cold without training x I loved doing this for myself it made me happy 😃 thank you to the @rox_queens for the push and gift 🎁 xx on to the next one xx by @tracylord2004

So I spent my Saturday racing at the excel centre on a kind invite from @rox_queens it was not planned , opportunity came last minute so I took it . WOMENS SOLO — need to train next time with more prep lol 😂 Also bumped into some lovely friends @thedanwithnoname_ and @fitnessgirl_glutenfree good luck 🤞 guys was just leaving so missed your race .
