I couldn’t be more proud and excited to congratulate my dad, Rick Daluge, on being inducted into the UW Band Hall of Fame at the upcoming band alumni game on September 19! 🎺🎶🎉

Dad has been a lifelong supporter of the Wisconsin Band. He marched in Mike Leckrone’s very first bands, endowed a clarinet, served on the Alumni Band Board for many years, and was instrumental in making Alumni Band Day the special tradition it is today.

And I’d be remiss if I didn’t give a huge shoutout to my mom, Peggy, who was right there beside him, volunteering and helping at Alumni Band functions for many years. ❤️

Together, they have been tremendous supporters of the band and the Badger Band family for decades. This honor is so incredibly well deserved, and I can’t wait to celebrate Dad on September 19!

🇮🇪☘️ Ireland Group Trip – 2027! Who Wants to Join Us? ☘️🇮🇪

Andy and I are thinking about putting together a group trip to Ireland in August 2027 for the Badger 🦡 football game and we’d love to see if anyone would like to join us!

📅 Proposed Dates:
• Depart the U.S.: August 20, 2027
• Arrive in Ireland August 21 and spend 5 days exploring the country with potential stops at Blarney Castle & the English Market in Cork, Killarney National Park, Ring of Kerry, Dingle Peninsula drive, Cliffs of Moher and Kylemore Abbey in Connemara
• Arrive back in Dublin August 26 to tour the city the 27th and/or see the band.
• Attend the Wisconsin Badgers game in Dublin on August 28 🏈
• Return to the U.S. with optional departure dates of August 29 or August 30

The idea would be a well-paced experience combining iconic scenery, history, great food, and fun group time — while still allowing flexibility and free time.

This is just in the planning stage for 2027, and we’re trying to gauge interest before moving forward. If you’ve ever wanted to see Ireland (or want to go back!), let us know if you’d be interested in learning more!

Part 2: The Big Island - Day 1
