Spiral & Lady Deathstrike. This is one of my favorite things I’ve ever drawn. Their twisted friendship is so wonderful
I started on this after the Lady D episode of @cerebrocast a few months ago. I don’t normally say who I use as face references, but since this is #TransPride themed, I think it’s appropriate. Spiral is based on actor/activist @indyamoore, and Yuriko is based on singer/activist/physician @superknovamusic
The arm poses are inspired by ballroom Voguing moves. It makes me wish I could do animation!

We ALL have the right to discover/uncover/unmake/remake ourselves, as many times as it takes. Happy Pride 2025 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️✊🏿

My fave Dani Moonstar, one of the most famous Indigenous American superheroes, is currently using Captain America’s shield in the comics. 😐
There was a lot of potential for an interesting story there…that I don’t feel will be explored at all.
So I made this!

Storm & Black Panther attend couples therapy with Dr. Jennifer Kale.
#Jenniferkale #mariarambeau #blackqueerart #ororomunroe #traedrewthat

Storm is a goddess. I wanted to write a version of her that carried more of that energy in her relationship with T’Challa. I think things would have turned out differently.

The characters in the side panels are: Callisto (Morlocks), Yukio, Isca the Unbeaten (Arakko), Doctor Voodoo, MCU Valkyrie, Craig Marshall of NASA and Forge (Daniel Lone Eagle)
The one you may not recognize immediately is BAST, the Goddess of Wakanda. That’s right, I want Storm to be that messy.
And you still can’t shame her

Recently, I’ve seen many people use their credentials to justify giving relationship advice. I immediately thought of Jennifer Kale’s scammer past. I love this character so much, and loved that I got to revisit her with Maria Rambeau by @trae.drew.that

For this Hellfire Gala round, I chose MANIFOLD, and The Blue-Skinned Zulu Titan of Destruction MAGGOTT! Both were supporting characters in the recent STORM (2024) series, so I wanted their looks to reference their journeys in that book.
Manifold’s look is inspired by the artist Lily Karadada’s paintings of the Wandjina (rainmaker spirits of the Kimberley region in Northwestern Australia). I was also inspired by the works of Ronnie Tjampitjinpa and Emily Kame Kngwarreye (see the last slide)
Maggott is wearing a harness based on the demon Eēgūn, one of the main antagonist of the STORM run. To connect the looks, I gave them ruby jewelry around where they were greviously injured in the book.
Their names for the masquerade: WAYFARER and THE DEMON.

Idie Okonkwo and Ransom are both featured in the Hellfire Murder Special, so I wanted to do something different with these characters. Inspired by the 2026 Met Gala theme Costume Art: Fashion is Art, I recreated Gustav Klimt’s painting The Kiss. I changed the color palette to cooler tones, that way I could depict the duality of Idie’s ice/fire powers in a way that complement each other. I’m particularly proud of Idie’s Ichafu engulfed in blue fire.

My Mystique redesign is based on the version of her featured briefly in Bishop: War College (Earth-63). That version had black stripes on her face, and I used that the basis for a simple geometric costume. I wanted to blur the lines between what appears as part of her costume and what appears as her own body. I also wanted there to be a few similarities to my redesign of Nightcrawler as a nod to their connection.

Stacy-X and Akihiro want to collab with YOU.
With their pheromone powers combined? Could you imagine the possibilities? Well, I could, so I drew this. Shout out to the content creators and the chaotic bisexuals. Happy PRIDE from 2 of the sexiest X-Men!

I wanted Akihiro to look oiled up, but that’s slightly outside my abilities, so I did what I could. New goals for next year by @trae.drew.that

My buddy James did his own version of the Marvel Comics Anniversary Frames featuring some of his favorite B-Z list characters. I asked to color it in Procreate! It was my first time doing this, and I learned a lot.
