Crazy to think it’s been a few months since I parted the fk8 out. Tbh I wish I would have done it sooner. Was it a great car? Sure. Did I wonder if I would miss it? Sure. But I can say I truly don’t. The more I see them, the more I continue to dislike the car as a whole. Do I think Honda did a lot of great things with the platform? Yes, but the car lacks so much when it comes to style. Happy to move on from this and not look back. Will probably be the last time I ever post a picture of. #fk8 #ctr #cıvıc #typer #civictyper by @traelyfe

Since the day I got into cars I have wanted one car. And for the longest time you couldn’t even have one in America. Once they became legal for import I kept saying well one day I’ll get one. And tbh I got caught up in other cars and playing around with other things. Well when I went to @jdmohiodirect a few weeks ago to pick up my k20a for the tsx project and was walking around. Well of course they have a few ek9 and some other goodies. Even a beautiful bb6 and of course I had to look at them. At this point I knew I was selling the fk8 and just wanted to go back to an older honda hints the tsx. But once the wife and I left all I could talk about was my dream car. Hey do you think I should jump on it I said. And as always she said it’s your dream car and I want you to be happy. See I’ve always been extremely fortunate to have a wife that supports me and all my dumb ideas lol. So as I was parting out the fk8 I kept thinking to myself do I buy my dream car. I even thought about just going and getting a fl5 a few times even the bb6. But what car have I always wanted. Well that’s a ek9. So I guess I’ll let the secret out. I jumped on this one. I just want to take a minute and thank my wonderful wife for always having my back and supporting me. Thank you and I love you so much. I would also like to thank the people at @jdmohiodirect for everything and working on the car to get it where it needs to be before we pick it up. So I’m sure people will ask. What’s the plan are you going to leave it stock. Well follow and see. I’m sure some will love and hate it. But this is for me. And my blank canvas. Some may call it downgrade from the fk8 yea it may be slower but it’s raw and this is going back to what made me fall in love with Honda. It’s crazy to think but seven months can do over the last seven months. I’ve been on a GLP1. No I get it. The whole trend has always been well. Let’s lose weight the natural way. And I couldn’t agree more but at the exact same time, let’s look at peoples lifestyles. Let’s look at their job. I’m not gonna say that I’ve ever fuck with weight but since getting out of the military, I definitely put on a lot. At my heaviest way, I tipped the scale at 305 pounds. Yesterday was the first time I am finally out of the 200 club. For the people that have done it naturally my head is all too easy at the same time. I was ready to make a change and I’m so happy that I did. I started this back in January at 296 in a size 42 in pounds and 3X T-shirt. Today I’m at 199. I fit in a size 32, which I didn’t even wear in high school and a large T-shirt. I literally feel 20 years younger and I could not be happier. I may get judged for this and at the end of the day I’m trying to take my health more serious. I am truly happy and beyond blessed to be where I am. I still have a short ways to go, but I’ll get there. I can only hope that maybe this will help her each others to do the same thing and to take your health more serious. #weightlossjourney #glp1 #weightloss #100poundsdown #letsgetit by @traelyfe

And just like that the end of an era. This car taught me so much. Looking back I am blessed to have been able to enjoy this car but ultimately started falling out of love with it. The platform is an amazing platform. Honda did such an amazing job designing this car and looking back at it I don’t know if I would have changed anything I ever done. However, I did more than I ever intended. To see it go hurts a little on the inside knowing it’s parked outside in a lot now kind of makes you a little sad. I don’t know if this car was truly what I ever wanted. I know that I did enjoy it throughly but there are other cars I know I would enjoy more. To the good times and the memories made. Well after much debate the wife figured out what she wanted to replace the accord. And some how landed on a 07 Honda Element SC and yes it’s a 5 speed. Not even going to lie. I thought I would hate it. But honestly really digging.
