There’s nothing quite like helping someone turn their dream into a reality and then witnessing over 1200 people wholeheartedly treasure and celebrate that dream. @improvcon was a truly wild experience. We co-created a convention from scratch and watched it take on a life of its own in real time. I really wasn’t quite sure what to expect but it was more magical than I could have imagined. Thank you Chris Colthurst @ccolthurst for inviting me on this ride with you. Thank you to the awesome staff including: Natalie McCain @nataliesaid Brendan Colthurst @bcolthurst Marina Mastros @marinamastros Cory Brin @corybrin Sarah Pugh Keith Foster @keithfosterkid Jon Barton @jon_barton4 Trenton Shine @trentonshine Ruddy Jameson @ruddyjameson168 & Becca Rufer @blackswanned, the techs, the crew, the volunteers & many more. And to the ridiculously talented & kind performers who made the weekend so special for everyone—especially my consiglieri Jet Eveleth @clownchurchla. It’s almost impossible to post enough photos of this so consider these preliminary images…I ran out of tags! taken in Town and Country San Diego by @trahila

Thank you to @hollywoodclimatesummit and @jacksonwildorg for creating the Comedy Special category and for recognizing SLICK BURN! These weirdo independent projects rarely get attention so it means so much to be included among friends as well as beloved TV shows and films. Way to give it all more visibility @deadline! Thank you to @jessiebluedorn at Carmack Collective for the grant that made this possible and to everyone who was a part of it (swipe all the way to the right). by @trahila

@trahila gave the oil industry exactly what they deserve-- a good roast. We had the honor to chat with Ali and hear all about the journey of "Slick Burn" during our Honorable Mentions virtual panel. You can watch the full interview with Ali and many other honorable mentions on our YouTube-- link in our bio.

Honorable Mentions are films our team LOVES, but there just weren't enough hours in our programming to be able to show during the fest. We give these shout outs here in hopes that you'll all check out these awesome and hilarious films.

Filmmakers featured in this panel:
@trahila from @petty.victories
@shannachristmas
@lifeaftermegaforce from @makingmegaforce
@courtney_elvira_91
@3actstructure
@jeffpoindexter_mbp
and Mike Hall

We love funny stuff and we love the planet! (We just can’t find the lens while taking a selfie… ) If you don’t already know producer Ali Hart, lemme tell you she is an absolute GIFT to LA’s comedy scene, and MY LIFE! 🥹💝Last year she created and produced a Comedy Roast of the Oil Industry with an amazing line up of comics including @nickvatterott who’s in the clip attached. I’m sooo happy I got out to see it - IT WAS GREAT- and now YOU CAN SEE IT TOO!! Always so proud of / impressed by my gal-pal Ali! Follow @petty.victories for more clips & to watch full show. DUMP ALERT🚨 2025 was filled with high peaks and deep valleys but I’m choosing to focus on the good (at least for this post😇). Somehow it felt like the fastest year yet so I went through my photos to remember what the hell happened and pulled some highlights:

-This guy makes everything okay💘
-No More Red Flags Flag-Raising Birthday Party (with Brendan, Lee & Elaine leading the ceremony🤣)
-Wedding-themed wedding with my college crew💖🦡
-Produced a roast of the oil industry, something I’d been dreaming about since 2007! Huge thanks to Carmack Collective for the grant & the best cast for bringing it to life! More on this in 2026🔥
-Got to play with Bay Area buds at Rumple 2025⛳️🍿
-Watched my wildlife babies grow in the backyard🦝🥹
-My “LA IS WILD” idea became a real shirt, thank you to Christine for the 😍 design (more to come in 2026)!
-Forced friends to wear my mom’s many blazers with me👩🏻‍💼💓
-Supported the whole year by the best of the best
-Through it all, produced over 50 comedy shows with incredible comics & the best team (note: we need a new group photo)
-Happy to sunset 2025 & excited for things I’ve been working on to be out in the world in 2026!

2025 has seen itself out. Happy New Year to those who celebrate✨🥂 by @trahila
