4.5 years ago I made the difficult decision to quit my dream job of performing on cruise ships due to COVID restrictions and other personal reasons. I came home, established a life on land and built a community in Texas. I accepted the fact that the chance to cruise may not ever come again, and that part of my life was over.
These reaction videos are after 3 different calls with my casting director.
One clip is of me at my hotel, after receiving my official offer to step back on a cruise ship for the first time in 4 years. The final clip is signing my contract and saying YES to life at sea again.

I didn’t think this opportunity was going to come, but what’s for you does not pass you by. Happy and grateful to announce I’m getting my sea legs back headed to the Caribbean and Europe onboard the Resilient Lady with Virgin Voyages. All in God’s timing. #dancer #cruiselife #virginvoyages by @train.like.a.dancer

MAINTENANCE / PREP as a professional dancer in btwn contracts:
priority = LISS cardio + endurance HR training 3x/ week
Strength/resistance training for maintenance 2-3x/ week.

Why should dancers do cardio BEFORE starting rehearsals? So your heart, muscles, mind and body are prepared for the high demands of long hours & multiple full-out runs in the rehearsal studio.

I always prioritize endurance training before my next contract instead of DURING the contract so that my body is used to the intensity and prevents injury during rehearsals where we are dancing all day. Fueling and hydration are also essential!

Including functional resistance training 2-3x per week, using moderate weights, with at least one of those days focusing on plyometrics and explosive movements.
