Hey Keeper Friends

This is Darian a Zookeeper from Florida that could use our help!

She just got accepted an incredible position as an Assistant Curator at the Lincoln Children’s Zoo in Nebraska!!

Now her, her husband and their two kiddos are making the big move across the country.

As Zookeepers we know we don’t do the job for the money we do it because it’s our passion.

I’m sharing her Venmo in this post (last slide) and her go fund me in my bio at the top of my page. If you can donate to help a fellow keeper please do!

Let’s help a fellow keeper during this transition! by @trainingwitherinn

Proud of Kalina the Troupial for crating for her exhibit move ! Did she get out of the crate 5 min later because I underestimated the sizing of the holes yep lol but she still did a great job.

Set some goals with Aquarist Rose for the Pacu she cares for today and excited for her and Benito. They started off retraining a Target and set a goal for a future voluntary net/sling behavior for medical exams!!

A Colleague of mine sent me these photos after visiting the Sonoran Desert museum and getting to see Pinecone shine as an animal ambassador there!

It’s so awesome seeing him thrive there and doing behaviors I worked with him on to get ready for his ambassadorship with his new zoo!

Thank you @carlyandbirds for these photos! And thank you @primateforlife and Crystal for taking the best care of little pinecone man thankful he brought us together !

Very proud of Fezzik today on his 11th birthday!!!
Today he voluntarily accepted his injection! He did end up turning away a bit spooked by the prickly sensation but then turned back and continued to munch on his one and only snack ! Go Fez!

Extremely proud of cucumber this is huge for him. It may seem super simple but a few months ago, there was no way he would let me touch him #animaltraining #positivereinforcementtraining #zoo #animalbehavior #training by @trainingwitherinn

Love to teach interns and newer keepers on the importance of choice and control for the animals in our care ! Ava did incredible for her first time ever conducting a session trying to train a halter behavior with our goat Jessie

(Last video is a blooper of how not all sessions are super smooth 😂)
