Rice water naturally contains rice-derived proteins. During fermentation, some of those proteins can be broken down into smaller peptides and amino acids, which may help support hair strength and reduce breakage.

Rice water can support length retention, but it does not make hair grow faster.

When calorie or nutrient intake drops significantly, the body prioritizes the functions and organs essential to keeping you healthy and functioning.

Hair isn’t essential to those core functions, so changes in nutrition, weight, and the body’s overall metabolic state can sometimes shift more follicles into the shedding phase, causing diffuse thinning and hair loss.
