Two days. Two cities. Still finding words for it.Thursday was Philly. @phlconvalley a workshop where people had beat machines and laptops side by side, figuring out that the tools are not that different. Friday was New York. The AI Community Days conference stage, a talk about what AI actually looks like when it breaks in production, and an award I did not see coming.The first room is why I do the second room. @phillytechweek was a week.The Open Source Exhibition by @phlconvalley. The Builder’s Conference w/ @technical_ly. The AI Summit at @pennovationworks. @1phltech events. Town halls by @blacktechphilly on both ends of the week where people actually talked about real things — not surface-level optimism, but honest conversations about where community and tech are headed and who gets to shape that.Here is what I keep coming back to: Tech Week gives you exactly what you bring to it. Some people left disappointed. Some left energized. Both experiences are real. Both are worth paying attention to.Philly tech is not a finished thing. It is whatever this community decides to make of it, year after year, room by room.Show up. Participate. Take something back with you. by @traksaw

Last night I told the truth to 32 people.@phlconvalley is migrating.Not ending. Migrating.The way birds migrate internally to prepare for their seasons.I founded this community in January 2025 on one belief — that Philly’s tech ecosystem needed a space built by us, for us. A room where you didn’t have to leave your identity at the doorstep.In under 18 months we built something real. Something people could feel.Now I am doing what responsible founders have to do sometimes — slowing down to build something stronger. Filing the legal structure. Building the foundation. Making sure the next chapter is built to last.To everyone who showed up last night and every Thursday before it — thank you. You were never just an audience. 32. This year I got married. Became an uncle again, a new niece. Watched my niece have her second baby, a boy, making me a grand uncle again. 🥹Held space for relationships that needed healing and found their way back to something real.I built a company. Led a community. Shipped code nobody claps for but everything runs on. Wrote publicly about the parts of building that are ugly and honest. Played music for rooms full of people. Shared what I know from panels and stages, including Philly JS Club (one of my favs).I watched my siblings navigate parenthood and loved on their families. Full stop. Just being present for people becoming more of themselves — that might be the thing I am most grateful for.I do not have a clean bow to tie around any of this. What I have is evidence. Evidence that I showed up, stayed in the room, and kept building even when the blueprint was not finished.Year 32. Intentional. Expansive. Grounded. All three, no compromises.🤲🏼 by @traksaw
