With the summer coming up a lot of us are going to start heading north to enjoy the cooler areas of Arizona. Some of the best places in the state to beat the heat are right here in the Tonto and what better way to figure out where you want to explore this summer than our FREE Tonto National Forest OHV Trail Map? The map already has tons of routes and information with updates happening all the time! So install the ArcGIS Field Maps app, screenshot this QR code to quickly get the map downloaded, and get ready to explore!

We hope have everyone’s going to have a fun and safe Halloween weekend! Be sure to keep this weather in mind if you have any outdoor plans. Whether it’s in town or out exploring, remember that especially here in Arizona flash floods can come out of nowhere, a dry rocky wash or a riverbed like Sycamore Creek can become a raging river, even if it’s not raining near you. So make sure to keep an eye on the storms, check forecast before you head out and #knowbeforeyougo! by @tral_az

Great day for @tral_az and @thebluernr Bartlett flats clean up. Crazy to see how much trash was collected in such a short time. Wish people took better care of our public lands.
Even better when it ends with a trail ride with great people.

We loved getting to spend the day helping our friends at @tral_az keep the desert clean. Then we celebrated with a run up the FR42 (Jeep Badge of Honor) trail with a group of great rigs.

We want to say a HUGE thank you to all the volunteers, partners and sponsors that made the Bartlett Flats Cleanup such an awesome success! With more than 100 volunteers coming out and removing over 1,400 pounds of trash we are extremely happy with how it all went!

We want to say one more massive thank you to @thebluernr for all of time and dedication she poured into setting up and executing the event! Thanks to @get1ost_jtr for all of his help planning and doing all the cooking for over 100 people! And last but not least, thank you to these companies who donated to this event (many of whom actually showed up to help out in person) and helped make it possible!:

#TrailTipTuesday
Now that we’ve had a handful of heavy monsoon storms, it’s smart to remember that the trails out there might not be quite the same as they were a few months ago. Heavy rain and flash flooding can drastically change the landscape. Ruts get deeper, rock gardens shift, new washouts may pop up, old ones might have grown and washes may look completely different than they did last time you were out.

Even trails you know well, like Pyeatt, Sunflower, Log Corral, and 42 can see new erosion, washouts, or debris from upstream. Take it slow on your first run back after big storms. Scout obstacles before committing, and be mindful that what used to be a mild line might now be undercut or off-camber.

If you come across damage or sections that are no longer passable, don’t try to make a new bypass, this only widens the trail and adds to the problem. Report major issues to local land managers or volunteer groups so they can be addressed properly.

Post-monsoon wheeling can be some of the best of the year. Cooler temps, clear air, and green desert make for a great time to get out, just make sure you’re adapting to the changes the storms leave behind and understanding it might not go how you expected. by @tral_az

Being part of the community means protecting the trails we all use to push our rigs to the limit. That’s why we partnered with @tral_az for their cleanup and trail run near Bartlett Lake, AZ last weekend. More than 100 volunteers showed up and hauled out over 1,400 lbs of trash, leaving the desert a little cleaner for the next group. Thanks to everyone who came out. 🤙

Since last Thursday @treadlightlyteam Program Managers have been training in Arizona!
Friday we started out with Kiosk installs in the @tontonationalforest thanks to partnerships with @valleytoyota and @azstateparks! Since then we have supported a major cleanup at Bartlett Lake with @tral_az. We ended our evening with a recovery thanks to @wildwestorr !!

We then joined @arizonapubliclands for a site tour of the shooting site area that TL! is leading efforts on!
We are now in Flagstaff and excited to introduce our new crew to @kchilites and the Coconino!
Stay tuned for more pics! It’s been a blast building the best team ever! by @tral_az

I’m still on cloud nine! I can’t say thank you enough to everyone who took time out of their weekend to come out, pick up trash, and give back to an area we all love.

There are more posts to come, but this photo alone makes my heart so happy. Over 100 volunteers came together to make a difference, and we collected an incredible 1,400 pounds of trash!

This is what it’s all about. Thank you for showing up, giving back, and reminding me just how amazing this community is. by @tral_az

If you haven't volunteered recently you should!

Barlett Lake volunteer clean up was a success and it feels good to give back to these beautiful places we enjoy.

Everyone donated their time, picked up trash and enjoyed the great weather today.

Remember to Tread Lightly! when you are out adventuring and leave it better than you found it.
