It’s tomorrow, guysss!! 🥹 Come to the first exhibition where I’m showing my paintings! Went to check on my work before the PV tomorrow and got massive help from two kind guys, who helped me and Viet install the D-rings on my frames and hang the paintings on the wall. I also got a bit intimidated seeing all the other artists’ beautiful work! It’s not my first time exhibiting, but I usually show sculpturecand you know, not that many people make sculptures, so there’s definitely less comparison hahaha. 😭 At the same time, as someone who just started painting recently, I’m really proud that my work gets to be in the same room as these incredibly talented artists. I still have such a long way to go, this is just the beginning ❤️ Anyway, come see the show tomorrow! The curation is TOP NOTCH!! ✨ by @tramakesart
Because I'm your child and your granddaughter, 2024 "We inherit pain. When it goes unaddressed, it gets passed down again." — Merissa Nathan Gerson 'Because I'm your child and your granddaughter' represents a dialogue between the past and present, embodying both the pain I carry and the beauty that arises from it. It reflects the generational trauma interwoven into my existence—pain that is vibrant, intricate, and remarkably beautiful in its complexity. In conjunction with a poem I wrote, this piece explores how my identity is influenced by generational trauma. Growing up, I struggled to express my feelings and grappled with my sense of self. I came to understand that I inherit pain—not just my own, but that of my parents and grandparents, spanning generations. These are the generations that are still in survival mode, living for others and making sacrifices. Generations that long for joy yet feel guilt for desiring it. Some pieces I'm working on. Learning oil painting. Such a beautiful medium. I’ve never appreciated pigments this much before, especially when glazing #flowers #orchid by @tramakesart

I was walking when I saw a lady carrying this huge bag of food to feed the pigeons. It made me think about how strange our relationship with them is. They used to be our companions and messengers, a symbol of peace. Now we call them city rats, but they still choose to live alongside us. #piegon #londonart #londonpigeons #birdlovers #art by @tramakesart
