I AM A WORLD MEDALIST 🥹🥹Actually, its more accurate to say WE are world medalist…I want to thank everyone that has supported me this past year from my parents who invest so much time and money to fly me out to chase my dreams, to my close childhood friends who cheer me on despite not knowing a single thing abt grappling, to my training partners both @cta_alexandria_bjj and in Maryland who push me to become better everyday11 months ago, I had just won my first IBJJF ever at the San Jose Open while dealing with the flu. I told myself I would never achieve my goals if I always competed in my comfort zone.I had never won anything meaningful as a kid, nor as a juvenile. To think I would I come as far as placing 🥉 out of 62 other competitors at the biggest stage I’ve ever had the pleasure of competing on… is just surreal. Special thank you to my dad @vu_tran_bjj , my friend @drileyjj , and prof. @caioterrabjj for coaching me through 5 grueling matches. Couldn’t have done it without you guys.I also want to shout out @khoandimau for pushing me to become my best self leading up to the tournament as well as calling me in between matches to get my mental right. Thanks chef 👨‍🍳 Lightweight now but my ambition still heavy❤️‍🔥 See yall in 2026✌️ by @trangrantjj

⚔️American Nationals No-Gi Champion⚔️Extremely grateful for the opportunity to compete against some of the best in my division and to think, I got to do it in VEGAS!! 🛫🛬After taking a loss just two weeks ago, I knew I could compete with the top guys. I’m proud I could prove it on a @flograppling camera✌️✌️This was by far my favorite competition, not just because of the result, but because I got to compete alongside my mom. She trains so hard and rarely gets the chance to compete because she’s always giving that opportunity to me and my siblings. This time, we both stepped up and we both won our brackets with world champions in them💥💥Big thank you to everyone back home at @cta_alexandria_bjj for helping me prepare. And to all the unnamed training partners, thank you for pushing me to be better every single day. by @trangrantjj
