This pride, support our new gofundme initiative for trans and gender non-conforming people in Trinidad and Tobago (link in bio). Let's not forget that Pride is more than a celebration, it's a protest. It's standing together to make a change and we can't do it alone. Let's support the most vulnerable in the community in tangible ways so that we can all grow stronger in this fight.

Some of our accomplishments:
Providing temporary housing and rental assistance.
Providing safe transport in times of need.
Providing gender affirming items and clothing.
Providing funding and electronics such as phones and laptops for trans students.

As queer people, and as trans people, we often don't have the support of family, friends, or the same opportunities as cis people. On top of that, we deal with stigma. Let's be each others support system in this already difficult time for our economy and be the change we want to see in the world. We can't do it without you!

It's been TWO WHOLE YEARS of showing up for our community.

Whether it was online or in real life, we've done it. We've been strengthening our local trans community.
We've been building a safe space and fostering hope. 🏳️‍⚧️

From our humble beginnings to where we are today, we want to say a huge THANK YOU to the brave hearts who joined our cause, our donors and our allies. ❤️

Happy Republic Day from us at TransformTT!
On August 1st, 1976, Trinidad and Tobago became a republic. However, it is celebrated on the 24th of September every year.

What exactly is a republic?

Republic [noun]: A state or nation in which the supreme power rests in all the citizens entitled to vote (the electorate), and is exercised by representatives elected, directly or indirectly, by them, and responsible to them.

As a bi trans woman, I know how complicated it can feel trying to understand yourself while also dealing with all the assumptions people make about who you’re “supposed” to be.
You don’t have to choose. You don’t have to prove anything. You don’t have to fit into a 50/50 box. You get to be you — bi, trans, and proud. 🏳️‍⚧️💗💜💙
So this Bisexual Awareness Week, just a little reminder: you are seen, you are valid, and you are definitely not bi-yourself. 🫶🏽😂

Today is World Suicide Prevention Day. Remember that black lives matter, disabled lives matter, queer lives matter and trans lives matter. Folks who face minority stress are more likely to experience suicidal ideation and follow through with suicide attempts. Break the stigma and know that all lives matter, including those you don't fully understand. Before labels were attached to us, we were all human. Even with our many labels and identities we are all still human. Life is worth living when we live with love and respect for one another!

September is global suicide prevention month. In Trinidad and Tobago, the transgender community is no stranger to suicide. This is an issue that affects people coming from numerous backgrounds. The LGBT+ Community is at a significantly greater risk due to ongoing discrimination.

The recent murders of K.D. Gill & K.D. Thomas remind us that we are not safe in our own country. While our lives may be at risk in isolation, there is strength in numbers. Now, more than ever before it is important to check up on your friends and family. Suicide may tempt even the strongest, but a community that stays together thrives together.

On August 1st, 2026 PrideTT hosted T&T's annual pride parade with queer joy, resistance and safety in mind.

There is no pride without trans pride. For many, there is no trans pride without support, community and a sense of security and freedom which gives us the strength to come out and say “this is me” even if it starts with just the mirror.

Some members of the community did just that this year and we celebrate them with this post!
