As we move with honesty and care, we’re sharing that Trans Futures Collective is closing this current chapter. Our capacities just haven't caught up to our desires to hold space for our community consistently. We’re taking time to pause, rest, and reset as we think about what showing up sustainably for ourselves and our communities might look like. This isn’t an ending rooted in loss, but rather a transition rooted in listening deeply. After so many seasons of growth, shifts, and changes we are deeply grateful as we reflect on the beautiful moments of shared practice and connection. This is a soft pause rather than a rigid goodbye. Though we can’t put an exact date when things will re-start or what it will look like, for occasional updates you can subscribe to the free tier of our Patreon where we will share newsletter style communications. Thank you so much for holding this space with us. May each of us continue to find rest, healing, and ease wherever we land next. 🤔Why Should I Connect With Transcestors?🤔 Many people are overwhelmed by the idea of connecting with their ancestors and/or trancestors, and understandably so! There is so much conflicting information and cultural specificity around ancestral communication. Some of us may not know our lineage, or have been inappropriately connected or forcefully disconnected from that knowledge. As gender expansive people, our familial and cultural ties can be fraught, and our traditions may not have room for our whole selves. This can make the romance of ancestral connection feel out of reach. We believe that all TGNC people have the right to access and receive the myriad benefits of ancestral relationship, especially from a counter-colonial lens, and especially while in community with other TGNC people. When you connect to your ancestors and transcestors, you can create a healing process that works bi-directionally. That is, as you heal, you heal your ancestors and trancestors, and they heal you. If you are under the trans/non-binary/gender non-conforming umbrella, this workshop is open to you. You do not need to be spiritual or to know your lineage. We will provide information that meets you where you are at. Details ✨When: Weds May 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd & 29th from 5pm - 7pm PT on Zoom ✨Who: Closed space for trans, nonbinary, gender expansive folks. ✨Cost: $165 / $297 / $444 Sliding Scale with payment plans! 🌟Meet The Facilitators🌟 In Accessing Transcestral Wisdom, we will be journeying together for 5 weeks - basically the month of May!! So we wanted to introduce ourselves so that folks could know who they would be journeying with. Isazela Amanzi, M.S.Ed., CYT, (Zel, they/he, @transgressivemedicine) is a (Tropical) Capricorn Sun, Pisces Moon, and Sagittarius rising! They are the Director of Sacred Pollination at Transgressive Medicine. He wrote a book of poetry in collaboration with his (tr)ancestors called, “Transcendence Affirmed” and you can find it wherever you get your books! They are also an energy worker, a teacher, and a facilitator. If you want to catch one of their amazing meditations, you can find them monthly via @cuties!! ✨3 fun facts about Zel:✨ 🤓 They love, love, love typewriters 💪 He is currently transforming his relationship to tech and writing and abolitionist digital praxis manifesto 🌱 They think fiddle-leaf figs are perfectly well-behaved plants Eli Lawliet, Ph.D. (he/him, @thegenderdoula) is a Taurus sun, Capricorn moon, and Libra rising! He is the founder and creator of The Gender Doula, where he has been helping folks through the ups and downs of gender transition as a gender doula for over 4 years. Eli is also a tarot reader, breathwork facilitator, and an officiant of ritual. He lives with his partner, 3 cats, 1 dog, and 4 snakes. ✨3 fun facts about Eli:✨ 👨‍🍳 His first job in Los Angeles was as a live-in cook 🐈‍⬛ When he was a child, he genuinely believed that he was “half-cat” and would regularly express that “cats have the best lives.” (He still ardently believes the latter) 🗣️ He loves (loves!)
