The Transkaters crew have had a BIG couple of weeks!

Our incredible coach and all round skate angel @playskateboards was featured in @theskateboarderscompanion as part of a series of stunning pics by @lens.licker from the @downside_diy x @skate_pal jam.

Transkaters founder @milo_turns was on the cover of @gaytimes Naked Edition 🙌🍑 and spoke about the origins of Transkaters and what this community means to him.

@griffin_wcmx was featured in a brilliant article on @thegoodpush by @ambermayormaynot covering the @skateboardgb Roll Together adaptive skate event @shredenhams in Bristol.

@mx.levi_ hosted a Transkaters stall at @butchpleaselondon @thelondondykemarket Butch Summer ‘25 event.

@omigoddard and @griffin_wcmx became certified Skateboard GB coaches, and were joined by @playskateboards on a panel for the Queer Skate Forum @citymillskate taken in London, United Kingdom by @transkaters

Teen me skated every day after school. It literally got me through lyf! Now as an anxious aging millennial I’m giving it another go…

🏕️ Transkaters is launching a GoFundMe to support with the running costs of this year’s retreat on 11-13th September 2026. 🏕️

Transkaters is run entirely by trans+ volunteers from our community and we’re committed to keeping costs low and making the Retreat as accessible as possible to everyone. 🛹🛼♿️

Our GoFundMe last year meant that we could support low and no income trans+ skaters to attend - and it was truly magical seeing everyone come together! 🙌

London Trans+ Pride: Sports Bloc 🏳️‍⚧️✊💕

🗓️ This Saturday, 25th July is @londontranspride – We’re excited to be marching together with a collective of radical trans sports communities.

📍 Meeting Points:

🕛 12pm - For a quiet place to gather and find friends, before moving on to join the main march at at Langham Place 12:45

Look out for volunteers in sport org tees or pink hi-vis if you need assistance. Please wear masks. 😷 Do not attend if unwell, and take a COVID test if in any doubt.

Transkaters: ☀️Skate + Picnics are back and this time we’re in E17! Sunday 28th June from 1:30pm til late @ Lloyd Park, Walthamstow Skatepark, London.

☀️🥪🛹🛼🦽🍎☀️

Open to skateboarders, rollerskaters, rollerbladers, and wheelchair and mobility aid users of all experience levels.

Beginners are very welcome. Feel free to come along just to the picnic if you would like to meet some lovely trans+ skaters in a chilled and friendly environment.

The exact location will be shared in our WhatsApp group so please DM us to join or request the location on the day :)

Bring your wheels of choice, snacks, plenty of water, any of your trans+ friends (skaters or non-skaters), sunscreen.

We’re back - and we cannot wait to make these dreams a reality for a third year!

We’re heading to @canopyskatepark on the Isle of Wight on 11th-13th September - a little corner of paradise, with a beautiful hand-built indoor wooden skatepark, glamping, camping, a cabin, plant-based food by @healthy.filth / @taalinotcharlie, campfires, star-gazing, activities, wellness activities, optional skate lessons and queer and trans joy in bucket loads

🌲Transkaters Skate Retreat 📍Canopy, Isle of Wight 🗓️ 11th-13th September 2026 ✨Starting from £130 ⛺️Camping, deluxe camping and cabin options available All skating disciplines welcome - skateboarding, rollerskating, rollerblading and wheelchair users. Beginner friendly, no experience required.

🍽️ Food: Plant-based, home-cooked, family-style meals by the incredible Healthy Filth 🌱 sliding scale / donation after you buy your ticket
