RIDE's debut album, Nowhere, came out today, Oct 15th, 1990, 36 years ago! Back in 2015, when RIDE reformed, I was so fortunate to get asked by the band to restore, edit and turn this amazing footage that had gone unseen for almost 25 years, into a full concert film!

The show was filmed in London at the old Town & Country Club in March of 1991 on 16mm and Super 8 film, giving it such a warm, rich look, as opposed to the grainy, crappy camcorder video of the time.

The audio is also pristine, remixed from the original sound board recording by the brilliant @mark_gardener_ride

RIDE were so young, 20 or 21 years old and at the top of their game. They played so beautifully, with youthful vigor and spirit. It remains one of the absolute highlights of all the projects I've ever worked on!

Mind blown completely after seeing/hearing the collaboration between Robin Bell @bellvisuals and @brendancanty. Brendan did live soundscapes that were just beautiful for Robin’s incredible video that accompanies his amazing art show, “Projection Warnings” @addisonripley This was inspired stuff! Last night was a fantastic kick off to our new local filmmakers film series, DCentric, at @lost_origins_gallery! No better way to start things off than with the best local filmmaker I know, christophgreen200! We showed two of his short films that were both exquisite.

Huge thanks as always to @jasonhamacher for hosting and being so supportive of local artists, musicians and filmmakers. Also thanks to @marajscheele for all of her help, to @joshuadunnphoto for his photos, and to @juliasophiabg the producer of the films and @beautypill Chad Clark, the music composer for taking part in the lively and informative Q&A after the screening. ❤️🎥🎉🙏🏼🤯

Happy 85th bday to my mom Sheree! On Sept 22nd, 1941, Sharon Marla Kopelle was born in Los Angeles, CA! She became Sheree Kopelle, then Sheree Levin after getting married. Then Amber Levin in her hippie phase in the 70’s, and finally Sheree Rose in the 80’s! But she’s also been mom all along, and now she’s DOM MOM! I was so deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Scott, "Scotty" Simons @thescottsimons 💔

Scotty was such a gem who touched so many people's lives. Let me tell you how he touched mine.

I met Scotty through my amazing pal, @j_sun_atoms Jas was close with Scotty through his friendship and collaborations with @petedx11 and @thedandywarhols Scotty was the long time, brilliant lighting designer for the Dandy's.

But Scotty also did the lights for so many other great bands including Bauhaus, Love and Rockets, and Poptone, which was Daniel Ash, Kevin Haskins, and his daughter, Diva Dompé

Whenever the timing worked out and Scotty was doing lights with bands I loved that were touring the east coast, Scotty would put me on the guest list and set me up with the photo/video passes for me to film. He was so gracious, funny and charming. I'll never forget his kindness.

I thought I'd share this clip I shot of Poptone playing the Love and Rockets track "Mirror People" in New York at Irving Plaza back in Aug of 2017. It shows the brilliance of Scotty's light show. It was a big sold out show in NYC with a lot of moving parts, but Scott made time for me, and we had an incredible night. It's an experience I'll never forget.

We are going to screen two short films on October 3rd at the amazing Lost Origins gallery to kick off their DCentric filmmakers showcase. Both of these films feature music from the super sexy and talented Chad Clark. There will also be an awkward Q&A and snacks and drinks. It’s a free screening but reserve tickets so we know how many people are coming. ❤️
