My lil boy, this should have been your birthday post…

Riley Anubis Carter (my actual son, Mr. Man, Babyboy, Riri, Dr. Stink, etc) tragically and unexpectedly left this world last week. You just turned 12 and we had just reached 11 years together the week before. We spent nearly every waking moment together and I’m crushed and completely lost without you. This is one of the hardest things I’ve had to experience…you were my best friend, dude. I will hold you in my heart forever…and I really do hope there is something after all of this so I can hold you again. I love you deeply, my little boy. Until we meet again 💖

Sick Joke hits the stage Saturday afternoon at Crucial Times Fest! Sick Joke is a Spokane supergroup forged deep underground by members of Simp, Grave Depression, and Psychic Death. Their sound reeks of disgusting high-speed crusty d-beat Doom worship.

Crucial Times Fest will take place May 29-30 at the Guardian in Spokane, WA. Featuring 23 DIY hardcore bands from across the PNW, proceeds will support immigrant justice and aid. Tickets are $15 per session or $35 for the weekend and can be purchased in advance or at the door. Students can get a weekend pass at the door with their student ID for $25. More info and ticket link in bio.

We’re pumped for the return of Eastern Washington’s Simp on Friday, May 29 at Crucial Times Fest! Beginning in 2022, Simp raged across the Palouse, leaving a path of twisted wreckage and mangled limbs. Who knew a trio could create such havoc? In 2025 they unceremoniously turned off the lights, much to the disappointment of circle pits throughout the PNW. Now they are back for one night only. Is it a last show? A reunion? Whatever it is, come pour out a La Croix for the boix while you have the chance!

We’re finally playing a local show. And with the LCVs longest running band (since 1996 🤯). Kyle and I both saw The Khind way back in 2001 (with Elderstaar, Stutterfly, AND POINTMAN!) by @translucentgoo
