Big news! The ticket link is live for our next Tranz Tropez film club back @staffordshirest !

For this event, we are lucky enough to be screening Chambre 206 (Room 206) dir. Laurie Bisceglia (2025) which follows Clair, in real time, as he prepares for and recovers from top surgery in France.

Chambre 206 was part of the Official Selection of the British Council’s Five Films For Freedom (2026) and a winner of the 24th Unifrance Short Film Awards at Cannes (2026).

A film as much about new beginnings as honouring your past self, we are so excited to present Room 206 as the headline film of our lineup for 10th November. The way this documentary captures such an immense amount of emotion is an open, honest and powerful reminder that no matter what others think, we get to decide who we are.

Keep a lookout for further announcements, the rest of the programme will be released soon!

For now, make sure to save the date and book your tickets. Spread the word!

THANK YOU @queeriosities_ for the privilege of being able to show the work of 4 wonderful filmmakers from the last edition of @tranztropez this past weekend 💚

Forever indebted to @davypittoors and @jeffreydgerson AND @xander_lolo_noble for their usual monumental effort to put on the best queer art fair around, but then to also support my project and the work of trans+ filmmakers on top of that is just so impressive and I’m so happy we got to be part of Queeriosities this year.

Alongside the likes of @theodunne.art and @thesensitiveline seen here with Davy modelling one of our Tranz Tropez inflatable audience members 🦩 it was a DELIGHTFUL weekend.

Thanks also to my mum for taking the pics of me @byrne.susanna 🤣

Once again, huge thanks to our talented lineup of filmmakers:

Tranz Tropez [@tranztropez] is a recurring film screening event dedicated to building community and starting conversations around a shared love of film. We aim to take you on a holiday as far away as possible from trans tropes in film that nobody asked for.

Our screenings offer a chance to ask filmmakers questions and discuss their projects, as well as the opportunity to chat to and meet fellow film-heads and collaborators at all stages in their creative careers.
Tranz Tropez has been in residence at Staffordshire St. for the past year, programming a series of screening events through their Film Club strand.

Queeriosities x Tranz Tropez 💚
Can’t believe how lucky we were to get to discuss the work of @davypittoors @queeriosities_ art fair curation, @xanderlolonoble self portraiture and performance and @autojektorx celluloid film making and destroying AND screened an excellent selection of films.

We couldn’t have done it without the support of @staffordshirest and my brilliant accomplices @chablugoo and slideshow maestro extraordinaire @zoe_granger but we also couldn’t have done it without our amazing audience. Thank you to everyone who showed up to support queer convos and queer movies. Here’s to many more!

We had the pleasure of watching films from Jason Barker, @autumn_box Autumn Boxley, @autojektorx Robyn and Maxi McLachlan @maxiwithani

Stay tuned! We’ll be back soon…

BATTENBERG dir Maxi McLachlan @maxiwithani
Artfully crafted and precisely filmed, this short film is based on a true story but definitely raises some questions. One hungry person makes a courageous decision when the cupboards are empty all but for a single Battenberg cake.

@Queeriosities x Tranz Tropez is just around the corner! Join us for an evening of talks and short films, a panel led by Lo and @davypittoors who will be joined by @xanderlolonoble and @autojektorx to discuss their work and the theme of @queeriosities centrepiece exhibition ‘Here We Go Again’ for their upcoming October fair - interrogating “truth” in a time where realities grow increasingly unstable.

We’ll then get to screen four brilliant short films, curated to compliment the exhibition’s theme - from filmmakers playing with ideas of truth, trans identities from medieval times to now and beyond, and how we can be incredibly resourceful in finding ways to be ourselves.

AUTOJEKTOR 💚 THEY WILL BURY US IN CODE & A CURE FOR SCARS
We are lucky enough to be joined by Autojektor who will be taking part in our panel talk. Her films incorporate AI while simultaneously undermining. What does it mean to edit reality to create a new “truth” so as to avoid feeling uncomfortable? Celluloid has never looked better.

Truth? Reality? Sainthood? AI and transness? Battenberg cake? These are all words you may get to hear if you get your tickets NOW for Queeriosities x Tranz Tropez on 3rd September!

Expect an evening of short films curated in response to the theme of Queeriosities centrepiece exhibition ‘Here We Go Again’ along with discussions between Tranz Tropez’ @lo__augusta & @autojektor along with Queeriosities @davypittoors & @xanderlolonoble at Staffordshire St.

@queeriosities 🤝 @tranztropez
💚 @staffordshirest

Battenberg (2026, UK) dir. Maxi McLachlan is a film based on a true story about a man and a Battenberg cake.

St Pelagius the Penitent and Other Stories (1997, UK) dir. Jason Barker tells the tale of five friends, each on a unique journey through gender, and their connection to a shared, long-lost ancestor: a medieval saint.

Flash Sale (US, 2026) dir. Autumn Boxley follows Tony and Adam, friends and roommates in Brooklyn, NY, as they put their heads together to find a unique source of income to fund Tony’s top surgery.

They Will Bury Us In Code and A Cure For Scars (UK) dir. Autojektor are two films which explore, among other things, the editing of reality to cleanse uncomfortable truth and replace with the aesthetically pleasing lie. taken in Staffordshire Street by @tranztropez

SPECIAL EVENT: Queeriosities × Tranz Tropez • 3 Sept, 7:00pm.

Join us for a special one-night screening: a series of films inspired by this year’s Queeriosities centrepiece exhibition, “Here We Go Again”, which interrogates the idea of “truth” in a moment of increasingly unstable realities.

The evening opens with a panel discussion featuring Lo Augusta [@lo__augusta], founder of Tranz Tropez, and Davy Pittoors [@davypittoors], founder and curator of Queeriosities, joined by filmmaker Autojektor [@autojektorx] and artist/ performer Xander LoLo Noble [@xander_lolo_noble]. Together they’ll explore how queer artists and filmmakers navigate the messy questions of truth, reality and identity in a world now shaped by misinformation, algorithmic echo chambers and the disruptive rise of AI.

Following the conversation, Tranz Tropez presents a specially curated programme of short films celebrating queer, trans and non-binary filmmakers, before a closing Q&A with the panellists and filmmakers.

Free/ PWYC tickets via the link in bio.

Ticket holders for this event will also receive an exclusive 10% discount on Opening Night tickets for Queeriosities 2026.
