“Luck of the Draw” for @projectpeace_love

So,

The idea is to express what Peace and Love means to you using the primary colors.

To me peace and love happens in the absence of worry, which made me think of playing card games with my family and friends- peak moments of peace and love for me. Scopa with Nonna, 7’s every summer vacation in Canada with the family and countless rounds of Gin Rummy and Spit with Renee!

The cards represent individual people and the spray paint- the chaos of life, the joy, rage and grief; the things we all experience. I wanted to show how we are all unique and truly one of a kind- but also that at the core of it we’re all made up of the same things!

And so we have the smiley face….which represents you.

You are the secret ingredient! Genuine self love is the first step to a world filled with peace and love! So do the things in life that make you happy and fuel your soul!!!

Stop by @roco137 @rocoupstairs throughout the month of June to see this show and tons of other amazing art! taken in Rochester Contemporary Art Center by @trapmoneybourb
