Happy 23rd birthday to the album that changed my life over two decades ago 🥀🖤

I cannot express how grateful I am for @afireinside creating this absolute masterpiece… if you know me at all, you know the love I have for this band and this record.

This album has been with me through my lowest of lows and has helped me make it past some of the hardest times in my life. This album, and this band, has also brought me a sense of comfort and belonging (and helped me make some cool international friends, like @marshwiggle_ and @hanwtts 🫶🏻 )

Back in 2016, I finally bought a copy of the OG 2003 vinyl pressing. In 2020, when I turned 26, I got a birthday cake custom made with the album art on it. I have numerous STS hoodies and shirts. I got the STS collector’s boxset in 2023 and I cried opening it. The details on every item took my breath away. I travelled to Los Angeles in 2023 for the anniversary show, and that memory will stay with me until my last breath.

I got a tattoo on my back by @jodydawber in 2017 dedicated to the album. In 2024, on my 30th birthday, @codydewaldtattooer tattooed my ankles as tribute to “Bleed Black”; which is the key track on the album for me. That song reminds me that I can and will overcome my ongoing battle with self-harm and mental health struggles, even when I am on the verge of ending things.

Thank you, @daveyhavok @jadepuget @adamacarson @hunterburgan for everything. The impact you have made on so many has not gone unspoken.
