POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

It’s exactly one week today that my guy, my brother, Chuks Ebuka Nwanne, General Manager, Guardian Newspaper, (Abuja & Northern Operations) left this sinful world to rest forever with His maker.
So hard to say goodbye Chuzzyfrans, so tough to accept the finality of two decades of beautiful friendship and brotherhood.
I cried tears that started when the news of your illness got to me a month ago.
We have come a long way together from our early journalism days on the culture and arts beat. I still have great stories to tell about our friendship.
Last Saturday, my heart broke into a million pieces.
Still feels unreal. Ahhhh…Chuks Daddy Chimamanda, not you o‼️
I have avoided picking calls of some of our mutual friends out of fear of losing my composure. Can’t stand speaking about you in past tense. Penning these words is a lot of work for me. God will help us get over this deep loss.
The world was a better place with a good man like you and it’s not the same again without you.
My thoughts and prayers are with Chiamaka and your young lovely kids. Sleep well Nwokeoma @chuksnwanne till meet again at the feet of the lord. by @traqman

Panelist duties at the prestigious Faculty of Arts, Obafemi Awolowo University ✅

Spent time with sharp students and the faculty to discuss fake news, algorithms, and how tech is changing accountability.

My key take for the students: Your digital footprint is your virtual CV. Create and engage responsibly. Add value, not noise.

I shared the stage with my good friend, Taiwo Adebulu, Investigations & Features Editor, The Cable.

The trip wasn’t complete without a whistle-stop visit with my former classmate, Dr Adeola Oyeleke of the newly created Mass Communication Department of the institution. taken in Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife Osun State. by @traqman

Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, has introduced a major initiative to reward academic excellence by offering automatic scholarships to first-class graduates of Abia State University.

On the recent episode of EduDialogue, I spoke with my guest, Femi Salawu, on how this policy could influence academic pressure, grading standards, and examination outcomes.

He noted that the initiative is likely to motivate students to strive for better academic performance and strengthen human capital development across various sectors. However, he emphasized the importance of establishing an independent committee with representatives from different universities to prevent nepotism and ensure fairness and transparency in its implementation.

This week on EduDialogue, we explored two key developments shaping education in Nigeria.

Governor Alex Otti is driving academic excellence with a new scholarship initiative for first-class graduates of Abia State University. Beneficiaries from three convocation sets will gain automatic opportunities to pursue Master’s and PhD programmes in any Nigerian university.

We also examined the perspective of Nigeria’s first lady Oluremi Tinubu, who called for a balance between digital learning and traditional reading. Speaking at a summit in Washington, she emphasized that physical books remain vital for building strong reading habits and reducing distractions from digital platforms.

I spoke with Femi Salawu, Head of Public Affairs and Media Relations at The Temple Company, and Philip Okposo, Lecturer at Pan-Atlantic University and Data Analytics Trainer, who both shared valuable insights on these topics.

Join us this Saturday by 3PM on VOP TV.
