Why yes, I would love to visit a USPS or @ups sorting hub. Maybe a commercial bakery or historic village. We can brown bag it and arrive via school bus. Who's with me?

While I was in college many decades ago, a class I was taking required me to write a paper with a rather significant works cited portion. What was also required was a direct quote from an original author. The topic I chose was humor in the high stress workplace and I chose to use Dilbert cartoons to illustrate how humor and trauma bonding make unpleasant work situations tolerable. I reached out to Scott Adams to get his permission to use one of his strips and a quote from him as well. He was so gracious in granting permission as well as a lovely quote resulting in a very good grade on my paper. Over the years I would reach out to him just to check in and say hello and he would always reply. He inspired me to pursue a career in Telecommunications. Eventually I ended up working for the same company he did at some point and we traded stories and I sent him pictures of my cubicle covered in Dilbert strips. Although I'm no longer working in Telecommunications he formed such a large part of my work experience. Fare thee well, thy good and faithful servant. You will be missed, sir.
