• Made a marshmallow t-shirt together with Unni Håkansson (we had a project called Doktor Doktor) back in 2009 for ‘Project White T-Shirt’ which was exhibited together with 30 other international brands in Los Angeles, Hong Kong and other cities. All contributions went on auction and all the proceeds went to Designers Against AIDS. Unfortunately I don’t know the name of the model or the photographer. Link in bio for more information.

Made one more marshmallow t-shirt without Unni but together with the help from some lovely assistants in Norrköping (Sweden) for an exhibition called ‘Does it fit’ back in 2011. Bea Szenfeld (@beaszenfeld) was also participating in this event, and it was an honour to get to meet her.

• Back in 1998, when I was 12 years old, I organized a demonstration against Shell in my hometown of Norrköping, Sweden. In the 1990s in southern Nigeria, the Ogoni people, including their leader Ken Saro-Wiwa, protested because oil drilling by Shell was polluting their land and water and making it difficult for them to farm and fish. In 1995, Saro-Wiwa and eight other Ogoni activists were executed by the military government because of their activism against these environmental abuses.

Apart from a local newspaper reporter and two police officers, only one person showed up: Oscar. Some years later, I became the drummer in his d-beat punk band Extinguish, where he was the singer. Many years later, unfortunately, he died. He and I never really became close friends, but I will never forget that moment outside that Shell gas station, which was the first time I can recall ever meeting him. I lied to the newspaper and told them I was 13 because I was ashamed of my young age. You can tell how young I was by the way I misspelled Nigeria on one of the signs.

• Did this Fas3 piece last year (2013) in Blankenburg. I named this ONTHEGROUND track ‘Red City’ after ‘Röda stan’ which is the part of Norrköping in Sweden where I spent the first years of my life.

• Go to @mahjantha43da for more information about her situation. The link to Mahjant’s GoFundMe campaign can be found in her bio (I have also put the link in my bio). Any amount counts, really(!), no matter how small.

Girls have not been able to attend school past primary level (grade 6) or go to universities in Afghanistan after that the Taliban took over. Women are forbidden from almost all jobs, and they also cannot travel far, visit public parks, gyms, or beauty salons without a male guardian (mahram), and their voices in public are heavily restricted.

I reached out to Mahjant on instagram and asked her how it’s like to be a girl living in Afghanistan (after I stumbled upon her account). We have had contact for a while now and the reason why I am uploading her video on my account is because I helped her making this video, but unfortunately her internet connection does not allow her to download the file, due to its large size. by @trauma_prison
