TB26 – An emotive recap

There’s been a lot of contemplation in my life about Traumburg. It was beautiful, inspiring, draining and also painful. Founding and maintaining something that originated purely from my heart has been the greatest challenge I’ve faced. Especially the challenge not to corrupt the dream, nor myself, over a timespan of 7 years that kept on taking from me. I consider myself to have failed there, for myself. I drove into burnout and depression.

Not being able to work on Traumburg, nor speak about it, for almost two years made me carry heavy resentment. Coming back into a project on the brink of not happening, I felt that resentment fade through the enormous love and care shown by you, the crew, supporters and whole community. I want to thank you with gratitude from a very deep place in my heart.

For many years I thought I needed to carry the dream alone to keep it growing. This year I learned my sacrifices might have mattered, but maybe weren’t even necessary. Realising this dream had learned to walk on its own brought a grand feeling of relief, joy and peace.

This year showed me why I entered this: an unconditional feeling of belonging, without the need to prove myself, apart from being a decent human being. Feeling that belonging in the people around me still brings goosebumps and teary eyes, even now, writing this.

All the sets, workshops, performances, hugs, kisses, dances and happy faces moved me even more this year, being able to open my heart to them. Sometimes I just needed to stand there and observe. Not being a parent yet, I think I experienced something close to seeing your children playing happily. All these years you’ve given me purpose, this year I could finally stand still and enjoy it.

And even if the dream shall end as a chapter here, which isn’t certain yet, there is so much life it gave me. I hope the same counts for you, and that it isn’t forgotten, and puts a grin or a tear of joy on our faces when thinking back. Just as it does for me.

Thank you for sharing the dream with me. Traumburg, and all of you with it, are forever in my heart. ❤️

Love
Flo

For the gallery stage of @traumburg at Schloss Dornburg an der Elbe, we created a light installation using the windows of the castle as our canvas.

We photographed the trees visible from each individual window and turned these images into vinyl stickers covering the glass, mimicking shadows cast from the trees outside. During the day, the windows came to life as sunlight passed through them, changing with the movement of the sun.
At night, a light mounted on a track moved slowly across the outside of the windows and along the balcony, introducing another kind of movement. The passing light evoked the familiar sensation of lying in bed at night and watching the lights coming from a moving car travel across the walls of your bedroom.

A huge thank you to @lucatorsera and the @traumburg organisation for trusting us with this work and for taking such wonderful care throughout the process. And a special thanks to @tingyi_jiang , @cliffsylin ,@____________theodora , @marlenelangbein , and @ingahirschh for your help during the build-up and breakdown of the installation. <3 taken in Schloss Dornburg an der Elbe by @traumburg

Mark performs regularly across Europe and Brazil with collectives such as Synergy (IT), Santsant (HU), and Goptun, o/nda & dando (BR). He is also a regular contributor to radio platforms Refuge Worldwide (Berlin), 20ft Radio (Kyiv), and Na Manteiga (São Paulo).

Cant wait for their first b2b at Traumburg!

Only one day left. Traumburg gathers a constellation of practices rather than a single sound. From hands that bend code into texture, voices that turn sound into something felt on the skin to decks Holdings two decades of Berlin’s history, and a duo turning therapy into tender, camp chaos. Here are the people behind those moments. ✨👇

Mare & Yadhira
Mare uses body, material and space as language, asking what identity and existence even mean. Rooted in decolonisation, connection and community, their work turns fabric, instruments, sculpture and repetition into quiet, critical questions about modern western society, the body always at the centre. Yadhira, a performer and choreographer between The Hague and Amsterdam, originally from the Dominican Republic, researches the grey space of negotiation between performer and audience, using exhaustion, of body and repetition, as a tool of transformation.

This is an invitation to give space, and to slow down. Let this duo carry you through a ritual of celebration and expression of black bodies, moving like silk, rebellious and unconventional, a devotion to oneself, and to everything that breathes.

Handmade

From the beating heart of Berlin’s electronic scene comes Handmade, shaped by the late-90s club sound that first pulled him toward vinyl. A devotee of the city’s underground for almost two decades behind the decks since 2005, he has built his craft on the bridge between House and Techno, sets that move as one continuous, soulful, hypnotic journey, each transition a small act of alchemy. A resident at the legendary Tresor Berlin since 2009, he returns bi-monthly to walk the crowd through the history of electronic music. A founding member of Same Bitches Berlin since 2014, he released his first vinyl compilation with the collective in 2021. His beats have travelled from Tangent Gallery in Detroit to Under Club in Buenos Aires to K41 in Kyiv, proof that Berlin’s spirit carries far beyond its own floors.

Only 2 days left! Meet the artists moving toward Traumburg this year: from field-recorded landscapes to living light installations, ritual flute textures, and low-slung, bass-driven grooves. Six different languages of sound and space, all converging under one roof. ✨🏰🔊

NINFA

NINFA moves at the intersection of repetition, improvisation, and spatial sound. Through layered textures, breath, and evolving patterns, the three flutes weave an immersive environment where individual voices blur into collective resonance — drawing on ritual, trance, and deep listening as guiding forces.

elliephunk

An avid SoundCloud surfer and old-time CD collector, elliephunk has an unwavering passion for music that moves the soul. Resident at Refuge Worldwide and „main mamacita“ at casadephunk and HOUSE GUESTS, she curates off-beat, artist-care, community-focused concepts rooted in the idea of home. Spicy, sweet, and impossible to resist, her club sets range from jazzy instrumentals and sassy diva vocals to bouncy breaks, afro/latin rhythms, and hard-groovy basslines.

RRRADIANT

RRRADIANT treats sound as a landscape in constant transformation. Through field recordings gathered in the world’s quietest places, experimental sound design, and delicate sonic textures, she composes immersive environments suspended between reality and dream. Her practice is an ongoing exploration of experimental technique and the poetic possibilities of listening — each work a fluid journey through liminal states.

Keex

Keex is co-founder of the Berlin-based xcuse:u collective, championing flinta* perspectives in club culture. Drawn to all kinds of rhythms, Keex seeks out sounds with a pleasantly low-profile groove, bass-driven warmth, and unexpected turns. On Traumburg’s listening floor, Keex brings sounds to stretch and (re)connect to.

Dominic Hughes

In his own words: „I like to think of ways to create experience by exploring the relationship between bodies and environments.“ Working with light, performance, and spatial installation, Dominic transforms familiar settings into dynamic environments where perception and interaction keep shifting. At Traumburg, he’ll present a custom light setting in di by @traumburg
