Movies & Travel:
While visiting Karnak Temple, our guide mentioned that the James Bond movie, The Spy Who Loved Me, was filmed there. Yes, the movie was a long time ago, but the connection was fun.

Karnak Temple showcases immense scale and beauty with its Avenue of Sphinxes and 134 sandstone pillars.

Just another temple hidden under the sand for thousands of years! Graffiti on the tops of the columns from 18th century European explorers, indicates it was peeking out of the sand.

Every day in Egypt was wonderous.

The last time I visited Versailles, I was 16. Ha, my husband thinks it doesn’t count.

How can I ever forget my college European history final — a 3 hour essay on the significance of 1789?

Versailles was our favorite day. In December, there weren’t crowds.

Save time for the city of Versailles. We stumbled upon a local market without tourists (except us).
