Colorado River rafting guide. Enjoys playing outside, often seen with camera in hand. Love more, hate less.

A few snippets of people looking tiny in the Bugaboos. by @travelwithdaniel

This Saturday!

We will be meeting up to do some crag cleanup and improvement at Goulds, followed by climbing some of the new routes. If you are interested please send me a message for more details. by @travelwithdaniel

Solid day breaking in the little boats. Been wanting to do this trip for quite some time, it was really unique to spend a day in the narrows without seeing a single person outside our small group.

Now I have to go prep for a river trip on a boat that is over 1000x heavier. by @travelwithdaniel

Been a while since I’ve taken the camera out for a climbing session. I didn’t actually climb anything but I did touch some pretty rocks and that’s good enough for me. by @travelwithdaniel

Finally found this monster hiding above Zion. This was a climb that seemed to have my number, anytime I tried getting there it just didn’t work out. We were lucky that all the pieces came together nicely today, and it looked like few if any climbers had been out there yet this season. by @travelwithdaniel

Well not how we saw things ending. This is the last picture I took from the trail in Nepal. That mountain in the back is the one we came here to climb. Unfortunately we didn’t get the chance to make an attempt. Lacy was hit with a long list of health problems that included viral and bacterial infections, digestive issues, a yet to be determined rash, and finally AMS. By yesterday morning she wasn’t able to keep pushing herself through all these issues. In fact she could barely stand up. So, we are now in the hospital in Kathmandu getting things taken care of. She has already made huge improvements and we’re hoping to be out of here as soon as possible. by @travelwithdaniel

Really hoping for some warmer weather in about 12 days. by @travelwithdaniel

We got a surprise bit of WiFi today so I’m sharing some photos from the first leg of our time in the Khumbu. by @travelwithdaniel

We finally got a good view of our big goal. For the next couple weeks we will do more acclimatizing and one other peak before we make a go for Ama Dablam. It would be so much easier if we could just fly up like this Himalayan vulture. by @travelwithdaniel
