Herd Retreat take 7! This year we switched it up and did a Herd golf scramble. It’s crazy to think that we have kept this tradition for 7 years now. As always I’m beyond grateful for this group. Every member of the Herd is extremely resilient and a massive force for goodness in the world. I’m honored to work along side these guys and love to celebrate and thank them. Cheers to slingin deals and triple bogies! taken in St. George, Utah by @travis__james_

Been playing with this board with wheels since I was a wee little lad and it’s a hobby that I’ll do as long as my body is able. Every time I come back to it I am quickly reminded how difficult it is and also remember what I like so much about it… skateboarding is built around failure. Some tricks will take many years and thousands of attempts just to stomp it a couple of times. This leads to a powerful mindset of resilience that’s foraged in bumpy bruised shins and countless heavy slams on concrete. Sure there are much less painful ways to learn how to see things through to success, but when you know what it feels like to land something you’ve been trying forever there’s just nothing like it. So here’s a couple of my favorites I’ve learned over the years. by @travis__james_

6 years ago I started doing door to door sales during the summer. I never thought it’d be a long term play. Turns out the opportunity for growth, community, and overall lifestyle it provides are unmatched. So here’s to grinding in the heat for freshies in the cold! 🥂 by @travis__james_

Some pics from the 50 miler. It’s crazy how many waves of emotions I experienced in one day. Constantly battling doubts, negative thoughts, intense fatigue, and sometimes no thoughts at all. What I learned is that our minds really do have the power to override our bodies. I often had to distract myself with music and conversations or even speak positivity repeatedly even if it went against everything I was truly feeling. Also found a new perspective on how powerful a friendly face and quality support system truly is. The craziest part is that this race was only a fraction of what some of my good friends have been able to conquer. I’m so grateful to have people like Sunny, Muns, Snake, and Shelly who have inspired me to try out an ultra. It’s so true that you are who you hang out with and even though my legs are pissed about that right now, every other part of me is beyond stoked for their influence. We’ll have to see what kind of craziness is next! by @travis__james_

Finished my first ultra! Such a crazy experience that tested me mentally and physically like never before. I’m so grateful for the crew who made it all happen and inspired me to do such a ridiculous thing! #trailrun #50miler #natcheztrace taken in Natchez Trace Parkway by @travis__james_
