i published a book!!!! it’s titled “half thoughts” b/c 1) I think it’s hilarious to put a thought down and pretend it’s a poem 2) half-formed thoughts are p much the primary substance that flutters around my infant brain wrapped in an adult’s body and 3) i think it describes how we all experience life: in flashes of partial realization, as in we are all kind of half formed yolks evolving each and every day/month/year and i don’t think we will ever be WHOLE until we die??? because the rich gummy center of life is all about the *process* of becoming, not about *what* we become. anyways i published this a month ago and then forgot to post until now so in some ways it’s a NEW RELEASE and in some ways it’s an INDIE ANTIQUE so whether you’re a hyperconsumer or a thrift shop baddie you should bUY IT!!! especially because it was amazon’s #1 new release for queer poetry which apparently means nothing b/c i’ve made $70 in sales so far—which means that if I go full time as a writer i’d be able to afford to live for one day and then it’d be up to the gods or mijael to fulfill my goliath expectations of one day being able to fly first class and laugh like a white man. so here I am begging you to buy it and read it b/c we should not put THAT much pressure on god or mijael. alSO I’ve been in Asia for the past five weeks so please sit tight and enjoy a maelstrom of manic posts over the next month not for your validation (unless u r a hot man I have a crush on NO. never mind we do NOTHING FOR THE MALE GAZE) but for myself when i am 84 yrs old and only have mijael and my robotic penguin to talk to as i rot in a commune of other queer senior baddies and need to remember my life’s highlights through what i managed to archive about it on the internet. i almost forgot to say THE LINK IS IN THE BIO EXTRA EXTRA READ ALL ABOUT IT!!!! if I ever post a photo like this with a caption that reads “believe in yourself” or “anything is possible” or “dedication is the game” pls find me and admit me into a mental institution and keep me there until i can sing both of ariana grande’s christmas e.p.s from start to finish by heart because im sorry mamas but I’ll never be your fitness influencer the only thing I’ve considered several times is an onlyfans creator not for the money but to make arthaus sex films with all of the elephant endowed men I see on x anyways I’ve been thinking a lot about what my bestie grace said a while back during a conversation we were having about what kind of gay person I am and I genuinely couldn’t answer that because I really thought I was a twink for so long (probably bc the asian stereotype assumes you are a bottom feeding fairy twink) but my friends all said I was definitely not a twink never was never have been and so that kind of shattered my only idea of queer personhood I had to stand on and then grace was like honestly you’re the opposite of an archetype you don’t have any archetype you’re like anti-archetype when it comes to everything (im botching the words bc I don’t remember the details just the feeling of being SEEN) and i was like you know what hell YEAH that is the most Aquarius type shi I’ve ever heard and I claim it I AM UNIQUE THAT’S WHAT I AM but I really do feel like this is true because whenever I try to settle into an identity or a group or a place I feel like I can fully morph and love whatever that is but I also feel that i do not entirely fit in and at the end of the day i don’t think any of us do because identity is an illusive sleeve we try on in many different shapes and colors every single day and belonging is built through the daily act of seeing ourselves beneath the sleeve and as my crumpet queen rachel cusk once said in a new yorker interview: character does not exist!!! by @travis_zane

taqueria guadalajara was my fav spot in the podunk university farm town I grew up in bc their burrito was SLAPPIN and their pozole ate DOWN and the unlimited free chips you could pile onto your plate was any fat child/teen with an eating disorder’s dream and who knew that one day I would marry a burrito (norteño) prince and that we would eat chips together and that the pozole from la casa de tono would fill my veins every morning after over inhaling experimental cocktails w mezcal and campari and prosecco it is crazy how the little details in life often foreshadow our future stories anyways I ADORE GUADALAJARA THE CITY and MAZAMITLA THE PUEBLO MÁGICO and I just love Mexico okurrrpppppllllahxbwnananzn taken in Jalisco, Mexico by @travis_zane
