Can a machine endowed with the spirit of humanity become an artist? Or does art also require an aging body and a healthy fear of death?

FULL CIRCLE CANON EVENT LOADING:

I’M GIGGING* IN BOSTONł SOON°

*reading
ł the Sinclair (which is actually in Cambridge)
° October 6th

(WITH ADAM VOITH AND LUKE ONEIL)

+++++++++++++++

Couple rapid-fire facts about it:

1. Adam Voith recently released his novel, R.I.Y.L. and I’m honored to help celebrate it

2. Adam is cool. We met in KCMO. At a reading he set up for @little__engines. He said he liked my shirt (Jawbreaker shirt from their last reunion show) and ¡BAM! instant buds.

3. I got to play one of the Sinclair’s first shows. It was a @thereforeiamband reunion show. It was the end of the world. It was 12/21/12. And now it feels significant to go back after death.

4. This will be my first reading ever. I’ve successfully avoided it this whole time. But discomfort = growth and besides, it’s time to get my sea legs on this kind of stage.

5. I haven’t had a drink in 7+ years, so it’s hard to imagine getting on any kind of stage without a drink or a guitar in hand. All advice welcome from any writers reading this.

6. To answer your q: I don’t know if my anxiety would be better or worse with your attendance, but let’s find out together, shall we?

7. I’m bringing some books / zines / rare vinyl / band merch to sell. If you’re looking for anything in particular, comment or DM and I’ll try to accommodate.

8. It’s free ($0.00) & early (6:30pm)

9. Lastly, here’s a slew of absurd photos from my time in Boston, and I offer no context whatsoever.

See you at the Sil afterward for popcorn and Big Buck Hunter tourney 🍻

If you listen closely, you can hear SEAFOAM by Hell and the High Waters playing in the background of season 3 episode 1 of TIRES. And man, hearing my voice on this just made my week. #netflixisajoke #tires #shanegilliscomedy taken in Jersey City, New Jersey by @travisalexander

Last time I was in Australia, I tattooed a man’s ass (never tattooed before or since). I ate a lot of codeine and I wrestled my friends in the street. And also once in a random apartment. Anyway, 13% off all merch at BOAISY.COM just use code NINERSSUCK @rams #whosehouse #ramshouse #larams taken in Sydney by @travisalexander
