W&L ‘30 I am elated to announce my commitment to study and play lacrosse at Washington and Lee University. First, I thank God for the path he put me on to earn this blessing and honor in the face of adversity. My mother, Dallas, and my sisters, Lulu and Vivi, are my rock and I would not be here without the three of you. I am forever grateful for Coach Mario Washington’s amazing expertise and limitless care for my moral and athletic development. It is hard to put your impact on my trajectory into words but what I do know is that my life is exponentially better with you in it. Beyond the field, you are a pillar of strength, guiding me through my challenges, not only as a coach but as a father figure. To the WAHS BLAX team - you are the brotherhood I was missing. Thank you for accepting me, including the seniors of ‘25. Thank you, Coach Alex Whitten and Coach Kip Turner, for the barn sessions that had an extremely direct impact on my game. Having men of your stature in this community and sport shape and mentor me this year is pivotal. Thank you, Coach Daniel Martin, for developing my defense during WAHS BLAX this past year that led me to receive this blessing. Thank you, Coach Mike Leahy and AMPED, for taking a chance on me to play my only travel season this past summer. Your crucial pointers contributed to my exposure. Thank you, Mrs. Lavoy, for traveling this summer. I would like to thank Ms. Sublette, Ms. Lemay, and my teachers for the rigorous education I received at Western to prepare me to succeed at W&L. Finally, I am grateful to Coach McCabe for believing in my family and me. Your guidance and care are part of God’s plan for me. You are the college coach I always envisioned for myself, and I am ecstatic to grow as a person and player under your guidance. Thank you for welcoming me to the Mens Lacrosse Family.
