I mounted my Lost World raptor puppet in the JP display- I stuffed it with plastic shopping bags to retain its shape and twisted some heavier gauge wire to make a sort of hanging hook that is held in place with the jammed-in bags.#jurassicpark #thelostworld #raptor #velociraptor #nerdcave by @travisstevensnerdcrafts

Fixed head on this Masters of the Universe Grayskull Turbodactyl from my friend's childhood collection. One side of the head had snapped off and the hinged joint inside had also snapped, but thankfully all pieces were present.I was able to use Loctite Plastic glue to reassemble the pieces and fuse them together again- that stuff is AMAZING on vintage plastic that doesn't like other standard glues. I could tell there was existing plastic stress that hadn't yet broken (but would) so I reinforced both sides of the thin hinge plastic with Apoxiesculpt and then repainted. Nothing should snap out any time soon, and Turbodactyl's head should stay where it belongs.#motu #mastersoftheuniverse #turbodactyl #80stoys #toyrepair by @travisstevensnerdcrafts

Restored Wuzzles Eleroo!I don't know why I have such a soft spot for the Wuzzles, but I must have been the perfect age for their short cultural and commercial existence. Somebody had gnawed on the wings, and when it comes to kids and soft molded vinyl, I get it. Busted out the Apoxiesculpt to do some minor details, repairs, and layers on some figures. I'm sometimes bad at multitasking and working on projects in smaller increments, so maybe this is a step in the right direction. Many of these figures will need a couple rounds of sculpting before painting to be finished.
