On the left is from earlier this week about 5 months post show and sitting around 245ish lbs and on the right is 1 week post show at about 207. Could say I’ve grown a little here and there. People wonder why I try to keep things tight in the offseason and why I stay relatively restricted aside from cheat meals or on a holiday. This is why. Maximizing my growing time and lengthening it for as long as possible before having to diet again.

TLDR: I been eatin

Also enjoy one of the greatest classic rock guitar riffs of all time.

Post birthday dinner lift. Got to lift yesterday with an old friend who’s been trying to find her groove again while getting back into the gym. It was a lot of fun helping and pushing her to regain confidence in herself and of course having someone to help me squeak out some extra reps for myself that I don’t normally get because I’m generally lifting solo.

The bday was great and I got to spend it with just my mom and dad. Honestly as a young bodied but old minded soul, that’s all I want these days. Small and lowkey hangouts with the people that I love.

28 was great but definitely going to need to make the last year of the 20s even better in all aspects of life. Grateful for everyone I’ve met and continued to have in my life this past year and all of the cool things I’ve been able to do.

No exes in Texas for this guy; but I certainly did have a pretty dang good lookin brunette with me there that was celebrating her bday with her favorite 🏈team. Bit of football, TX bbq, and a rodeo. by @traviswitty

Been a hot minute since I’d stopped out to @promuscleliftingclub so I figured I’d give her a go this weekend. Always a good lift and had to put myself under the good lights for the first time since February.

Not too shabby, curious to see how this composition holds while I eventually start pushing some food up and putting more size on.

Closing in on losing 100 lbs! I truly feel like a new person. 💪

Shout out to my coach, Travis Witthuhn, for showing me the way. Dude got my diet and exercise routine on point, but it goes beyond that. He knows his stuff, keeps me accountable, pushes me when I need it, and helps me stay focused on the bigger picture. Having someone who knows what they’re doing and can help you stay consistent makes a huge difference.

I’m proud of how far I’ve come, and I’m grateful to have had the right person in my corner throughout this journey. I'm not done yet 😎

If you’re ready to make a change, I highly recommend you hit him up. If you’re willing to put in the work, he’ll help you get on the right track! 🔥 by @traviswitty

How do you feel about the person you currently are or could potentially be working with?

If you constantly question your happiness, worth, or mental sanity while working with the person..might be time to re-evaluate.

“How do I know if I should be training optimally or for fun?”

Here are my honest thoughts on optimal training or fun training
- [ ] Optimal training is of course what should be strived for particularly as a bodybuilder. Why? Because as a bodybuilder for the competition stage, your goal should be to implement exercises that bring up your weaknesses. That being said, do the best you can to make those exercises as fun as possible for you.

What happens if the optimal training isn’t fun enough to want to stick with it?

- [ ] Not having fun or enjoying your training very very often leads to at least 1 of the following problems but often a bit of a domino effect of a few of them:

- [ ] skipped sessions because you just don’t feel like going when you don’t want to train anymore.

- [ ] Lack of intensity because you’re just bored or trying too hard to make the training optimal and focusing only on the feeling of a muscle rather than pushing weights in an intense way that is genuinely just fun!

- [ ] Not following the program for enough time because now that you’re bored, you just want to keep making changes to the program to appeal to your entertainment

Realistically, the most optimal training program is going to be the one that BOTH addresses your weaknesses but also one that you find fun because that’s most often going to lead to you sticking to the program and putting forth the effort needed to actually make a change.

It’s is very slow going. However, happy to report that I no longer have to bench only 5 pounds with the dumbbells. I currently have to implement a different type of training regimen to allow for both physical intensity, but also more importantly, physical recovery.

What that looks like at the moment, he’s doing two full cycles of my workout routine. Which means, going through my A and B splits, all the way through; at a semi-high intensity. Then the following run through of that split, is done with much lighter weights and higher reps..

That will likely remain the same for a very extended period of time, because the weights are adjustable, depending on the state of my recovery at that point. Meaning that even when I hit the lighter weights, as long as I’ve been recovering, those weight limits are progressive.

It’s still not full-blown training, but it’s certainly more fun than not training at all . Gotta stay positive.

Once again, this is why I do it. Being able to change a persons self image and being able to fix the horrendous habits and culture around food culture in the US is such an incredible feeling.

DM me “Coach” to see what I can do to help you break your own bad habits and have you feeling so much better about yourself physically and mentally in your daily life.

Congrats to the new @paigeereuter, thanks for removing any excuse for us all to see each other♥️ by @traviswitty

Quite possibly the most common fear that people have when dieting or starting a diet is that they’re going to be starving all the time. Aside from someone thinking they’re going to look “too big” which don’t get me started on.

In reality, you’re probably going to actually be eating significantly more than you currently are; as soon as we switch to real foods and meals and not the meals from restaurants or the take out you’re constantly eating. This is just a common meal comparison for Mcdonals that most people have an idea of how big it is.
