Today, I’m simply humbled, grateful, and blessed to see another year. By the grace of God, and the peace within, here I stand. More life.

After a long layoff from racing(9 months), a lot of life changes, and plenty of time wondering when I’d feel like myself again, I finally got back to doing what I love. This race wasn’t about chasing a number. It was about lining up, competing, feeling that race-day energy again, and being grateful that I’m able to do this. The legs aren’t quite where I want them yet, but we’ll get there. One race back. One step forward. And a whole lot more work to come. 🥷🏾🫶🏾

As we celebrate your 15th birthday, my greatest wish is that this year brings you everything you deserve—the opportunity to be a kid, enjoy your friends, make memories, chase your goals, embrace new experiences, and enjoy every moment that comes your way.

No matter where life takes you, I want you to always know this: Daddy will always have your back. Through every victory, every challenge, and every chapter ahead, I will always be in your corner cheering you on.

February 19, 2026 — the hardest day of my life.

That’s the day everything changed. It all started with a simple eye exam, which led to the discovery that my daughter had a brain tumor in her left ventricle. By the grace of God, it was non-cancerous — but as a parent, there’s nothing that prepares you for that moment… it’s paralyzing.

What followed were some of the toughest days we’ve ever faced — two surgeries, fear, uncertainty, and a kind of strength we didn’t even know we had. But step by step, she fought her way back.

In this collage, you’ll see that journey — from coming out of surgery… to the light slowly returning to her eyes… to today.

Today is her first day back at school(with an abundance of restrictions). As you can see, she’s back to her old self, not wanting to take a photo(top left). 😅

And while I’m beyond grateful, I’d be lying if I said I’m not still scared. This experience changes you. Even when things are “okay,” a part of you stays shaken. You realize how fragile everything really is.

Even sharing this is hard. It brings back everything we’ve been through. But this is part of our story now.

We are here. She is healing. She is strong. Her courage and bravery through those two surgeries were extraordinary — she truly took it on the chin, and that kind of strength is abnormal. We are so, so thankful.

To everyone who prayed for us, checked in, showed love, and supported us through this — thank you. We feel it. We appreciate you. We love you.
