Today, we celebrate 50 years of this amazing album. On September 28, 1976, Stevie Wonder released this amazing album on Tamla Records.

It's such a timeless album and many great songs on this album.

I have 2 copies of this album in my collection, but this one is special because it's a complete set. When the album was released in 76, it came with an extra bonus 45 record with 4 extra songs and a lyric booklet. I was able to finally get my hands on the complete set in good condition 50 years old 😎

Curtis Mayfield release this album in 1973. I love the cover art. Title back to the world.. Even though this album was released in 73, some of the lyrics that Curtis speaks still holds true to things we still experience in our world today.

Song " Right On For The Darkness "🔥

It was also sampled my Mase & Total in their hit song "What You Want"

Last night, I had the pleasure of attending a tribute to a jazz legend @lonnielistonsmith @smithlonnieliston and a native of the city, I'm in Richmond Va at the @hippodrome_venues

The show was amazing. It felt like I was part of music history. S/O @cosmicechodoc and @butcherbrown for an amazing show and for giving Lonnie his flowers while he is still with us 🙌🏻

The highlight of my night was seeing Lonnie at 85 years old performing his song "A Garden Of Peace "

If you know hip-hop, A Garden Of Peace was sampled by Jay-Z on his song "Dead President."

This song that is playing on this post is one of my favorites"The Enchantress " he released this song in 1980 on his Love Is The Answer album and if you know Southern Hip-hop it was sampled by Big K.R.I.T , 8 Ball & MJG " We Buy Gold".

@lonnielistonsmith has contributed so much to jazz and hip-hop with his cosmic sound. A true living legend.

Those are his albums from my collection 😎.

Stevie Wonder Released "Music of the Mind "in 1972.

The music in the 70s in unmatched, but the cover art was next level.

The cover to me says see the music and the world through the Mind of Stevie 🤔

Some classic RnB. Stephanie Mills 1979 classic album " Whatcha gonna do". One of my favorite songs of hers "Starlight". Song was sampled by Nas on his 1996 "It Was Written "

Sometimes, when collecting vinyls, it's not always about the music 😎. This is a comedy album that brought back childhood memories ( I had to have it when I saw it) .

This comedy record was released in 1975. Jimmie Walker is better known as JJ Evans or Kid Dyn-o-mite. Like many people, I've watched him time and time again on his 70s hit show Good Times.

I haven't posted in a while , busy being an adult 😎. So I took some time to go vinyl digging. Hitting up a local Goodwill, I ran across this 1966 Wes Montgomery "Goin Out Of My Head" beauty. I hardly ever see Wes Montgomery albums in the Goodwill in my area..

I picked up some other great albums from the local record shop, but this Wes Montgomery was the best find of the day for me 😎
