Today at 2pm is our last show of Andy Malone. Weve had such a great weekend at @city_theatre and are so grateful to all the folks who came out to support this premier.
This crew right here is the Bees Knees. Such incredible talent, big hearts, team playing attitudes. I couldnt have dreamed of a better group.
@iftheriver disappeared and Andrew Mellon took his place. @naqnaqjoke worked so hard and it all payed off with that southern Italian Accent. @the_development_committee bailiff brought humor and his love of local history was a great asset to the show.
What can i say about director @kaitkultur except shes brilliant and charming and did such an excellent job directing this show.
And @sonofally_ sho bring such knowledge, commitment and a knowledge of 90210 that will tickle you in the dressing room.
Thank you everyone for making this TREEbeans production a dream come true

Big shout out to Frank Motz for writing such a wonderful script and Patricia Lowry for writing about and honoring Fannie Larimer Jones.

Andy Malone, opening August 13th at 7pm at the Lillie Theater in the Southside.
Andrew W. Mellon is a household name who is celebrated for his business acumen, philanthropy, and his impact on the arts and culture in Pittsburgh and beyond. This humorous one act play, by Frank Motz, tells a story passed down through three generations, of Mellon’s detainment and the unlikely friendship between this shrewd business man and a profoundly unbothered and hardscrabbled Italian immigrant. This timely show asks us to consider the cult of celebrity, taxation of the ultra wealthy, and the influence of abruptly changing political winds. Andy Malone is paired with a bonus epilogue, written by Patricia Lowry, that provides a window into understanding this once-hated millionaire as our modern society struggles with similar themes regarding the funding of the arts and the appropriateness of amassing great wealth at a time when many are struggling to pay the bills. by @treebeans_productions

Very excited about this project. Written by Frank, a friend of my cousin Joey. This is based off a family story that my cousin Jimmy used to tell. My nonno and his brother Uncle Mike used to bootleg whiskey during the prohibition and one time it landed him on a holding cell with #andrewmellon
What was Andrew Mellon doing there? You’ll have to come and find out. @kaitkultur who directed my play forbidden pants and starred in my latest musical moon twins is directing this. Whats also wild about this project for me is doing it outside of the @theglitterboxtheater where ive been doing most of my work for the last 10 years. Im excited to be working with @city_theatre on this one. Tickets will be available on their website (in my bio) as of July 1st

Moon Twin is sold out. I couldnt be happier to be performing this show with this cast for so many people. This is my 8th full production and probably my favorite (tho Amelia will always hold a big spot in my heart)
Moon Twins is about Connection, death, grief, parallel universes and is a wild, tender and whimsical journey. Thank you to everyone who bought tickets. by @treebeans_productions

Im excited to be producing this play in August at the @city_theatre black box space. When i first heard this story of my Uncle Mike sharing a holding cell with Andrew Mellon i knew it would be a perfect one act play. Then i found out my cousin Joeys friend Frank Motz had the same idea and had written the play. So i reached out to him and said id love to read it and soon a thespian friendship began. Frank did such a good job bringing this story to life and i cant wait to see how @kaitkultur directs it. So save the date (weekend of August 14th)

And come audition for a role!!! Its going to be fun to bring these two characters to life #pghhistory #pghtheater by @treebeans_productions
