Random thought on vocals and singing, that happened within the past few days.

- Vocal slides
- Grit/rasp tone

I never realized nor thought about how it’s always been a natural thing for me to match, when singing along to songs (even before I started actually trying to sing)

Once it was brought to my attention, several months ago, about how the song Wish You Were Here isn’t an easy song to sing, I’d periodically reflect on that. I’ve been curious, and wondering about how (for me), certain aspects are easy.

When you’re trying to tune an acoustic guitar, to be able to record something……….and people are outside mowing the grass

As a songwriter, how often do I write?
Since September 5…this much lol

And this isn’t even everything. I log notes in my phone, too

Some of these are 2-3 pages, on a single song idea, but this top page is the only one that has just a title/hook idea. by @treefarmermusic

Commitment video:
So…about a week ago, I decided to do some busking out in downtown Belmont, at the park.

Wasn’t prepared for Christmas decorations still out, in the spot I was originally intending to play at.

There happened to be a birthday party happening, at the very time that I was out there.

The family actually invited me over, thanking me for providing some extra entertainment for the occasion, and offered a slice of (an absolutely delicious) birthday cake.

I happened to speak with some of the other children at the party, and one of the boys is a big fan of Third Eye Blind. I immediately gave him kudos for knowing of that band. I SO wasn’t expecting that band name to come out of his mouth lol

He asked me if I knew Semi-Charmed Life, by them, and I replied “no, unfortunately not. Not yet. But I need to put that on my list of songs to learn, right now.” I immediately made a note of it, and have been working on it, daily.
