Ministry moments from today’s interview, as Treena and I shared parts of our faith journey.

Five years ago (2021), we celebrated Treena’s 50th birthday, our 30th wedding anniversary, and 20 years in senior ministry.
Fast-forward five years (2026)… And we celebrate 35 years of marriage, 25 years in ministry, and our eldest daughter, Anna, is turning 30… Whattt??? 🕕✈️🙌🥳🙏❤️

We gave God our ‘yes’ - one day at a time, and somehow, those every days became 35 years married, and 25 years in ministry… And today, we shared our greatest story of all, which isn’t that we held on to God, but that God faithfully held on to us. 🤝🕊️ #Grace taken in Gateway Life Church by @treenamannering

Thank You God for Your faithfulness!

Such an inspiring time this morning as Ps Jason and Ps Treena interviewed one another, sharing grass-roots stories, the lessons learned, laughter, tears and reflections from their GLC 25-year senior ministry journey.

I can do all things [which He has called me to do] through Him who strengthens and empowers me [to fulfill His purpose - I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency; I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him who infuses me with inner strength and confident peace.]

🅰️ Ps Jason: In every season - Micah 6:8
He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you?
To act justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.

🙌 25 YEARS 🙌
This Sunday at @gatewaylifechurch, Treena and I are sitting down together in our 10am gathering to interview one-another and reflect on 25 years of senior ministry - the stories, the seasons, the lessons, the Scriptures that sustained us, but most importantly, the faithfulness of God.

Many people have been part of the journey - some have been with us for years; some for a season; while others have just arrived; but everyone is a part of the story that God has not only written, but continues to write. ✍️⭐️

It will all lead up to our Big Finale on the last weekend of October, when a team of 12 people and our good friends from the @hisstorychurch @hisstory_em, Sydney join us, and minister across the weekend, leading us in Worship and sharing God’s Word! 🎉🎉

25 YEARS OF GOD’S FAITHFULNESS

On October 28, 2026, Gateway Life Church - formerly known as North Gate Christian Church, will celebrate its 25th birthday, as a church, as we thank God for 25 years of His amazing grace and faithfulness. 👏☝️☺️

On this very day, September 14, 25 years ago, Treena and I were preparing and loading our Ford station wagon for our very first public church meeting at the Albury Public School Hall - 7pm, Friday September 14, 2001.
We had no idea who would show up! But we prepared the room by faith, and 11 people came.
We called that first gathering an “Interest Night,” which gave our community an opportunity to come and hear about the vision, mission and core values regarding the church that we see in Albury Wodonga.

25 years later, and what an absolute blessed ride it has been since those small beginnings. There are now six GLC churches in Africa, three in India, a local church in Albury, and a growing online campus.

Over the coming weeks, Treena and I plan to share some transparent stories from our journey - the good times, the faith-building times, the lessons we’ve learned and some things we’ve unlearned; but most importantly, all that God has done!

As we enter October, we’ll continue celebrating with more testimonies, memories, photos and special video greetings from pastors and friends who have been part of our journey over the years.

It will all lead up to our Big Finale on the last weekend of October, when a team of 12 people and our good friends from the @hisstorychurch @hisstory_em in Sydney join us, as they minister across the weekend, leading us in worship and sharing God’s Word!

🙏😍🙏
Such-a-blessed day, with two inspirational and faith-filled gatherings. There were so many ministry moments and much to celebrate, including an inspirational testimony from Kristy in our 10am service, followed by a fully catered for KFC lunch complete with chips (of course) after our 12:30pm service.

Faida preached a powerful message in our 12:30pm service called, “Why Pray”, while Ps Jason preached on, “Kingdom One Things”.

✍️ From Ps Jason’s sermon notes:
“King David asked for one thing.
The rich young ruler lacked one thing. Martha needed to do one thing, and the Apostle Paul did one thing.”

✍️ “What’s the one thing you’ll ask God for; the one thing you lack; the one thing you need; and the one thing you know you need to do?”

✍️ “Your next step, comes down to a little three letter word… And that word is, ‘yes”’.
